El was the kind of terrifying, top-tier powerhouse whose mere presence would stir up chaos and overwhelm all opponents, no matter where he appeared.
Not even the deep ocean could hold him back.
The depths were dangerous not only for the lack of oxygen—far more deadly was the crushing pressure of the water itself.
Unlike these ancient sea monsters, the human body was never naturally designed to survive in such an environment.
But these were only rules that applied to ordinary people. Even the laws of nature were not entirely unbreakable.
For true masters of strength, rules themselves were their real enemy—and an enemy that could be overcome.
In truth, the depths of the ocean were hardly enough to stop someone like El.
Whoosh!
A massive tentacle swept through the water right in front of him.
With such immense size came overwhelming power.
Every movement the Kraken made stirred up churning currents and towering waves.
If it were near the surface, it could easily trigger a tsunami with a single motion.
Yet the torrents it created were nothing to El.
Even the enormous energy required to shift ocean currents and raise tsunamis was far from enough to match him.
"Hmph… So just because you're big, does that mean you can't be outmaneuvered?"
El dodged the incoming limb, keeping himself steady and unaffected by the swirling waters around him.
Every move he made appeared effortless and completely under control.
ROAR!
The beast let out a deafening bellow—too low in frequency for human ears to hear, but powerful enough to vibrate the surrounding water. It was clear it was enraged.
For years, these waters had been its domain. Though originally a stranger to these parts, it had claimed the territory through sheer size and strength.
By chance, there were no giant Sea Kings nearby, so it had naturally risen to become the undisputed ruler of the region.
But now the balance had shifted. An enemy it could not crush had suddenly appeared in its own waters—the El Pirates.
While El's name was already famous across the pirate world, and even the Marines and World Government treated him with caution, he was completely unknown among the sea beasts.
To these creatures, size was everything. The larger the body, the greater the strength, and the wider the territory one could command.
It was the natural order of things—and the reason why giant Sea Kings dominated such vast stretches of ocean.
The same logic held true among humans, too. The Giants were widely recognized as the strongest of all humanoid races.
In the past, the Giant Warrior Pirates had made a name for themselves almost instantly, simply because every member was a Giant.
Even today, Giants remained a force of unmatched power; most ordinary factions could not recruit even one.
The Big Mom Pirates, one of the Four Emperors' crews, were among the strongest in the world, yet even they had never gained the loyalty of the Giants—though their long-standing conflict certainly played a part, it still showed just how rare and valuable such power was.
Aside from the Giants themselves, only the World Government and Marine Headquarters held significant influence over them, as the Giants' homeland was a member nation of the World Government.
So long as one was large, the advantage in raw power was undeniable.
This was the truth the Kraken had always lived by—until today, when it met someone who shattered that belief completely.
Even in the crushing depths, El had more than enough strength to deal with this powerful local ruler.
"Are you the strongest creature around here?" El spoke aloud, not caring whether the beast could understand him or not.
"If you are… then you won't be for much longer."
He moved with incredible speed, as if the pressure and resistance of the water had no effect on him at all.
In an instant, he drew right up to the Kraken's massive body.
ROAR!
Only now that he was so close could El feel the faint vibrations rippling through the water each time the monster roared.
It made him wonder if these ancient beasts had their own form of communication, or even their own societies.
The ocean covered far more of the world than the land. The Red Line was nothing more than a single ring-shaped continent wrapping around the globe; all other landmasses were just scattered islands.
El suspected that beyond the world known to humanity, the vast, unexplored depths hid countless secrets.
The giant Sea Kings were just one example. Where had they come from? How had such creatures evolved?
For now, he put those thoughts aside. Once he had resolved all the troubles in the human world, he decided he would explore the deep seas himself and see what mysteries lay undiscovered.
Being a pirate meant more than just freedom—it meant having the chance to go wherever he pleased and uncover what no one else had found.
But that was for the future. Right now, he had to deal with the monster before him.
He had already toyed with it long enough, and the air inside his personal bubble was nearly exhausted.
Yet even with only a short time left, it was more than enough for El.
"Sorry, little guy… I don't have time to waste playing with you."
Whoosh!
He slipped past another sweeping tentacle, drawing even closer to the Kraken's massive head.
ROAR!
The beast had never endured such an insult. It unleashed its full fury, determined to crush this tiny intruder into pulp.
Swish! Swish! Swish!
One tentacle after another lashed out, but every single strike missed by mere inches, as if El was always just a fraction out of reach.
