"Your Highness, I am bored. Can I attend the wedding?" Evie asked.
Reign, who was behind her, rubbing her back, paused. "No, don't even think about it," he said. "You are not leaving Moonlight Pavilion," he said. "It is not safe," he added.
"I have been locked in here for so long. The physician said the baby is strong and doing well. I will be giving birth in the next few months and will be busy taking care of the baby. I would not have the time to go out. I will be extra careful. Can I go?" she asked, turning to him and looking at him with puppy dog eyes.
"No, don't look at me like that. Your safety and the baby are of utmost concern to me," he answered, avoiding her eye contact.
"But you can protect me. The girls are also there. I am bored. Please," she asked, but he shook his head, and Evie sighed.
She really needed outside interaction. She was tired of seeing the same faces every day. She was not at risk of miscarriage anymore; her baby was big and stable enough.
