Heena chuckled softly, the sound vibrating against his chest. "Oh my god," she sighed mockingly. "Did I marry a husband, or a nagging mother-in-law? Why are you suddenly acting like one?"
Samuel pulled his head back, looking down at her with a deep, thoroughly unamused pout. "Mother-in-law, huh?"
He placed his hands on the mattress, making a show of trying to stand up and leave. But Heena just tightened her grip around his neck, effortlessly pulling him right back down against her.
"Ah, ah, ah," she teased, a playful glint in her sharp eyes. "Why are you so angry? Look at you. Right now, you look exactly like a bristled-up hedgehog. No, wait... more like an angry cat ready to pounce."
Samuel narrowed his eyes, leveling her with a flat glare. "You think I look like a cat?"
"Obviously," Heena replied smoothly, tilting her head. "Go ask anyone."
