Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: The Blood of Brothers and the Fleet of Judgment

Part 1: The Silence of the Grave

The moon's surface, once a silent watcher of Earth's history, had become a graveyard. The deafening roar of battle that had shaken the cosmos just moments ago had vanished, replaced by a terrifying, suffocating silence. It was the kind of silence that exists only in the deepest voids of space—absolute, cold, and heavy.

Akuma and Dahak lay sprawled across the gray lunar dust, separated by miles of jagged craters. Their blood—crimson red and void black—mixed together, staining the pristine white surface in a gruesome mosaic. The low gravity caused droplets of their blood to float in the air like suspended rubies and obsidians.

Dahak's condition was horrific. His face was half-destroyed, the skin hanging loosely like a broken porcelain mask. Beneath the ruin of his flesh, there was no bone or muscle—only the swirling, unstable darkness of the "Void," pulsing like a dying star. He summoned the last dregs of his strength to turn his shattered head toward Akuma.

"Look at us, Akuma..." Dahak's voice rattled. It didn't sound human anymore; it sounded like grinding stones and static. "We are both monsters... created only for destruction. Two failed experiments rotting on a dead rock."

Akuma tried to move, but his body screamed in agony. His left arm was charred black from the Phoenix fire, and his ribs were pulverized. He looked at Dahak through vision blurred by blood and tears. "Why... why didn't you die? I hit you with everything I had. Why do you keep getting back up?"

A pained, grotesque smile touched Dahak's remaining lips. "Do you know who I am, Akuma? Do you truly not recognize the echo of your own soul?"

"No..." Akuma whispered, dread pooling in his stomach.

"I am your older brother."

The air in Akuma's lungs froze. The universe seemed to stop spinning. The pain in his body vanished, replaced by a numbness that paralyzed his mind. "Brother? That... that's impossible. They killed everyone. I saw the bodies."

Dahak looked up at the sky, where Earth shone like a blue sapphire against the endless dark. His eyes filled with a distant, haunted look.

"When our family was attacked... everyone died. I thought I would die too. I prayed for it. But when I opened my eyes, I wasn't in heaven. I was in a white room. I was in hell."

Dahak coughed, spitting out black bile that floated away. "They... they performed experiments on me, Akuma. For years. They sliced my body open while I was awake to stuff synthetic veins inside. They pumped the venom of ancient monsters into my marrow. They replaced my blood with liquid void. I screamed until my vocal cords tore, and then I screamed silently. I begged for death every single day... but they wouldn't let me die. They turned me into 'Dahak'. The Ultimate Weapon."

Tears welled in Akuma's eyes, hot and stinging. The rage, the hatred he had felt for this monster, suddenly melted away, leaving only a hollow pit of sorrow.

At that moment, Draven's voice echoed in Akuma's mind via telepathy, urgent and trembling. 'Master... he is telling the truth. I have analyzed his genetic structure. The scent of his blood... his aura... it is identical to yours. He is your flesh and blood.'

Akuma could no longer hold back. Ignoring his broken spine and shattered limbs, he dragged himself across the lunar dust. He moved with desperate, animalistic speed, reaching Dahak and pulling his massive, broken body into his arms.

"Brother..." Akuma wept, the sound raw and broken, echoing in the vibration of their suits. The tears he had held back for fifty years finally broke free. "Forgive me... I didn't recognize you. I hurt you... I tried to kill you..."

Dahak patted Akuma's back with a trembling, clawed hand. For the first time in decades, his touch was gentle. "It's okay... little brother. Pain was the only thing I could feel... until now."

Part 2: The Sky Tears Open

But fate is a cruel writer, and it would not allow this reunion to last.

Suddenly, the fabric of space above them didn't just ripple—it tore open. A sound erupted like a million thunderclaps striking at once, vibrating through the moon's crust. The small golden portal that had brought the Watcher expanded violently, stretching until it swallowed half the starry sky.

From within the rift, a shadow fell over the moon.

The White Fleet had arrived.

Six massive warships emerged from the golden light. They were not human vessels. They were leviathans of white metal, each as large as a mountain range, humming with a divine, terrifying energy. Their surfaces were sleek and seamless, glowing with runes of ancient power. On the decks of these floating cities stood hundreds of thousands of soldiers—an army of perfection, standing in absolute stillness.

In the center of the formation, on the main deck of the largest flagship—the 'Throne of Judgment'—a solitary figure stood.

He was different from the rest. He wore a robe as white as milk that flowed in the vacuum of space, untouched by the dust or grime of war. His face was concealed by a golden mask bearing a strange, glowing "Divine Mark"—a single eye weeping a tear of gold. In his hand, he held a long staff made of pure starlight.

Down on Earth, thousands of miles away, Nova and Lucas witnessed this sight through their magical projections. A sinister, relieved smile spread across Nova's face.

"Finally..." she whispered, falling to her knees in reverence. "The King has decided to step in himself. The game ends now. The insects will be crushed."

Draven, watching the same sky, felt a chill go down his immortal spine. "This pressure... it's not just magical energy. It's Authority. Master Akuma stands no chance."

Part 3: The Execution of a Prototype

On the moon, the figure in the white robe didn't fly down; he simply ceased to exist on the ship and reappeared instantly on the lunar surface. He stood ten feet away from the brothers. He didn't even glance at Akuma or the devastation around them.

He simply tapped the bottom of his golden staff lightly against the ground.

THUD.

It was a soft sound, but the result was catastrophic. An invisible shockwave of pure kinetic force erupted from the staff. It slammed into Akuma with the force of a freight train, tearing him away from Dahak's embrace and flinging him miles across the jagged rocks.

"NO!" Akuma screamed, tumbling through the dust, struggling to rise against the crushing pressure.

The figure walked slowly toward Dahak. The elder brother lay on the ground, utterly helpless, his void energy leaking out like bleeding oil. The White-Robed figure leaned down, grabbed Dahak by the throat, and lifted him into the air as if he were a mere ragdoll.

"You..." The figure's voice was cold, melodious, and utterly lifeless. "You have become trash. A broken weapon that develops 'feelings' is of no use to me. You are a malfunction."

Seeing this, Akuma screamed, his voice cracking. "Stop! Don't touch him! Take me instead!"

Dahak looked at Akuma. There was no fear of death in his remaining eye, only a final, peaceful resolve. He realized that his life had been a nightmare, but at least his death would belong to him. He gave Akuma a faint, tragic smile—the smile of a big brother protecting his sibling one last time.

"Akuma..." Dahak whispered, his voice fading. "Live. And... take care of Rubi."

The White-Robed figure didn't hesitate. He plunged his free hand directly into Dahak's chest, bypassing skin and muscle, grabbing the core of his heart.

"Goodbye, 'Prototype 01'," the figure said, and crushed his fist.

EXPLOSION.

A horrific blast consumed the silence. It wasn't fire; it was pure disintegration. Dahak's body... simply vanished. Fragments of blood, flesh, and void energy scattered into the vacuum. There was no body left to bury. Just the lingering warmth of a brother who had finally found peace.

The warm blood of his brother splattered across Akuma's face, mixing with his own tears.

Part 4: The Crimson Rage

The world fell silent. The white ships hung in the sky like executioners.

Akuma dropped to his knees. It felt as though someone had reached into his chest and physically crushed his heart. He had found his brother only moments ago, and in the next second, he had been erased from existence.

"Brother..." he whispered, staring at the empty spot where Dahak had been. "No... this can't be. Not again."

But then, Dahak's final words echoed in his mind, looping over and over. 'Take care of Rubi.'

That promise. That single sentence. It was the only thread keeping him from descending into total, irreversible madness.

Akuma immediately contacted Draven mentally, his psychic voice screaming across the void. "Draven! Is Rubi safe? Answer me!"

Draven's voice came back instantly, filled with panic but steady. "Yes, Master... Miss Rubi is fine. She is safe behind the Obsidian Wall. But Master, you must run!"

Hearing that she was safe, the grief inside Akuma... transformed. It curdled, boiled, and ignited into Rage. A rage so pure, so concentrated, that the ground beneath him began to liquefy.

He slowly lifted his head and locked eyes with the White-Robed King. Akuma's eyes were no longer human. The pupils had vanished, replaced by pools of infinite, spinning red. A Crimson Aura—thicker and darker than ever before—poured out of him, rising like a pillar of blood into space.

The King, who had turned to leave, stopped. He glanced back over his shoulder, mild curiosity in his voice. "Hmm? Such power inside a mere insect? Interesting."

"You..." Akuma's voice sounded like the growl of a primordial beast, vibrating through the moon's core. "You will pay for this! I will rip the heavens apart to kill you!"

Akuma launched himself at the figure. He didn't run; he exploded forward. His speed was so great that it distorted space-time around him, leaving a trail of red lightning.

"Fool," the King said. He didn't move. He simply tapped his staff on the ground again.

BOOM.

This time, the shockwave was ten times more powerful than before. It wasn't just wind; it was a wall of solid gravity. Akuma didn't even reach him. He was hit in mid-air. The sound of his ribs shattering echoed through his skull as he was blasted miles away like a bullet. He crashed into a mountain range, obliterating it, and kept skidding until he lay broken in a crater. A fountain of blood erupted from his mouth, floating in the low gravity.

Part 5: The Distant Soul

On Earth, inside the sanctuary, Rubi suddenly gasped. She clutched her chest, falling to the floor. A sharp, piercing pain stabbed her heart. She knew instantly—through the bond they shared—that Akuma was at death's door.

"Akuma!" she screamed, tears streaming down her face.

"Miss Rubi, you cannot!" Draven shouted, trying to stop her. "Using your Soul Power at this distance will kill you!"

"I don't care!" Rubi cried, her eyes glowing sapphire blue. "He is dying! I won't let him be alone!"

Ignoring the danger, she closed her eyes and sat in a meditative pose. She gathered every ounce of her life force, her soul, and her love. She projected a beam of pure sapphire energy straight up into the sky, aiming for the moon.

Back on the lunar surface, the White-Robed King had reached Akuma's broken body. He lifted the warrior by the neck, dangling him over the abyss.

"You really are terrifying..." the King mused, looking at Akuma's burning eyes. "A potential threat to my reign. Therefore, you must die."

He began to squeeze. Akuma's throat crushed under the grip. His vision began to fade to black. The cold of space seeped into his bones.

'Is this the end? I... I really am useless. I couldn't save my parents. I couldn't save my sister. I couldn't even save my brother...'

Akuma's consciousness began to drift away.

But then, he felt a warmth.

It started in his chest. A gentle, loving warmth that smelled of spring rain and flowers. Rubi's soul power, traveling across two hundred thousand miles, reached him. It wrapped around his broken heart, knitting his wounds together from the inside, whispering words of encouragement.

On Earth, blood began to trickle from Rubi's nose and mouth. Her skin turned pale. The distance was too great; the process was draining her life force rapidly. But she refused to stop. 'Live, Akuma. Please, live.'

On the moon, Akuma's eyes snapped open. The red glow returned, mixed with a soft blue hue.

"No..." Akuma rasped, gripping the King's wrist. "I cannot die. There is still one person I have to protect. I am not done yet!"

Part 6: The Awakening of the Ants

At that moment, the White-Robed King paused. His grip loosened slightly. He sensed something. Something massive. Something impossible.

He turned his head away from Akuma, looking toward the Earth.

"What is this?" the King whispered, his tone losing its calmness for the first time.

From around the globe... thousands, no, Millions of lights were ascending toward the sky. They broke through the clouds, aiming for the moon.

These were not ordinary lights.

They were people.

Earth's hidden cultivators. The ancient warriors who had slept for centuries. The cyborg soldiers of the resistance. The masters of the hidden sects. And even ordinary humans, piloting stolen ships and mechs. They had all watched the broadcast. They had seen Akuma fight for them. They had seen Dahak die.

And they had realized the truth: If Akuma falls today, humanity will be extinguished.

A fleet of ragtag ships, energy beams, and flying warriors filled the space between Earth and the Moon. It was a swarm of "ants" coming to bite a God.

The White-Robed King saw this and began to laugh. A maniacal, echoing laugh that chilled the blood.

"Hahahaha! Look at them! These insects... these bacteria!" He threw Akuma aside like a piece of trash. Akuma skidded across the ground, battered and broken, coughing up blood.

The King raised his arms, addressing the approaching swarm. "Do you think you can stop a God by swarming in numbers? Come then! Come and die together!"

Akuma lifted his head weakly. He saw the lights approaching. He saw the banner of Earth. The entire world had come to fight for him. For the first time in his life, the monster was not alone.
