Chapter 258: Guren
"One hundred basic treasure chests, twenty intermediate, and one advanced!"
Over the past year or so, although Li Jiexuan himself hadn't completed many missions, his two followers Orochimaru and Hyuga Yizhen hadn't been idle.
There were no advanced chests, but they had accumulated quite a pile of basic and intermediate ones…

Li Jiexuan tore open the scroll. Thick mist filled the plain scroll, obscuring everything. Only a crystalline red flower seemed to bloom faintly within it!

Before he could press further, a strange noise suddenly came from the distant forest, startling countless birds into flight…
"What's going on?"
Stepping on the water, Li Jiexuan climbed up the waterfall and then witnessed a breathtaking and astonishing sight.
In the dark forest, flocks of birds scattered into the sky. At the center stood a massive crimson crystal pillar, like a divine gemstone radiating brilliant light.
"A crystal this large…" Li Jiexuan couldn't help but grin. "As far as I know, there's only one person in all of Naruto who can do this!"

However, this arc was rather chaotic…
Li Jiexuan shook his head helplessly. Simply put, it was a struggle between Orochimaru's faction and Konoha over the Three-Tails. But this time, nearly all the key figures had gathered here.
The Rookie Nine went without saying, and quite a few jonin like Kakashi had also arrived. On Orochimaru's side, Deidara, Guren, and that ox-headed subordinate group were no pushovers either.
With all sides combined, even Li Jiexuan wouldn't gain much advantage without going all out…
Still, he had no interest in jumping into the plot just yet. Because before the Three-Tails appeared or before Guren's "blooming" moment the early part of this arc was rather dull. It was mostly just both sides probing each other, clashing, then withdrawing again…
Until the Three-Tails showed up, anything he did would only expose his presence and make the already chaotic plot even more chaotic.

Better go find Orochimaru!
