Chapter 28 - The Singularity of the White Gate

Space was supposed to be silent, but for Ren, it was screaming. The "Geometric Gods" weren't biological; they were sentient algorithms—living equations sent to balance the ledger of a universe that Ren had just bankrupted.

As they poured out of the White Gate, they looked like shifting fractals, folding into themselves with a sickening metallic hum. Each shape radiated a light that didn't illuminate—it defined. Where that light touched a satellite, the satellite didn't explode; it ceased to be a machine and became a primitive cluster of iron and glass.

Ren stood in the vacuum, his hoodie flapping in a solar wind that only he could feel. His "Vantablack" aura was no longer a cloud; it had condensed into a sharp, jagged outline that cut the stars out of the sky behind him.

"Examiners?" Ren's voice vibrated through the literal fabric of space. "You're late for the test. I already tore up the paper."

The First Equation

One of the Examiners—a massive, rotating octahedron—accelerated toward him. It didn't move through space; it subtracted the distance between itself and Ren. In a microsecond, it was upon him, its edges glowing with the power of [Conceptual Erasure].

Ren didn't raise his hands. He simply whispered: "Null."

A ripple of static erupted from his chest. The Octahedron hit the ripple and glitched. Its perfect geometry began to stutter, its faces turning into jagged, low-resolution pixels. Ren reached out and grabbed one of its edges.

The Void Monarch didn't pull. He absorbed.

The giant shape was sucked into Ren's palm like water down a drain. A massive surge of white energy traveled up his arm, turning his veins into glowing silver wires.

"More," Ren whispered, his right eye spinning so fast it looked like a solid disc of purple light. "I need more to hold the Earth together."

The Ground War: The Platinum Legion

Back in Seoul, the atmosphere had turned a strange, shimmering mercury color. The Hunters—now infused with Ren's "Patch 1.1"—stood in awe of their own power.

Thomas Andre looked at his hands. The platinum aura surrounding him felt "heavier" than his old mana. It didn't just enhance his muscles; it felt like he was wearing the weight of a mountain as a second skin.

"Jin-Woo!" Thomas shouted, his voice echoing with a new, metallic resonance. "The sky is bleeding shapes! What the hell are those things?"

Six "Fragmented Drones"—smaller, spear-like versions of the Examiners—pierced the clouds, heading straight for the city. They were moving at Mach 10, aimed at the Hunter Association building.

"Don't let them touch the ground!" Jin-Woo commanded. He didn't use a shadow-exchange. He simply stepped, and the shadows of the entire city rose up to meet him, forming a massive, dark staircase.

Igris blurred into motion. The Red Knight's sword was now a jagged blade of "Void-Steel," trailing a wake of black static. He met the first spear mid-air. Usually, the collision would cause a shockwave that would level a block. Instead, Igris's sword ate the kinetic energy. The spear simply stopped, turned grey, and crumbled into digital dust.

"They aren't monsters," Jin-Woo realized, his eyes narrowing. "They're 'Clean-up Crew'. They're trying to format the Earth's hard drive."

The Architect's Final Joke

Up in the void, Ren was a whirlwind of destruction. He was no longer fighting like a human. He was teleporting, duplicating, and erasing simultaneously. He was using the Rulers' own "Command" authority against the Examiners.

[Skill: Absolute Authority – 'Delete User']

Ren pointed at a cluster of tetrahedron-shaped enemies. They vanished instantly, replaced by a lingering trail of "File Not Found" errors in the air.

But the White Gate wasn't closing. It was widening.

From the center of the Gate, a giant eye opened. It wasn't an eye of flesh, but a lens the size of a continent. This was the 'Grand Auditor'.

"Ren!" the voice of the dead Architect echoed in Ren's mind, mocking him. "You think you can fight the Source? You are a virus, little Monarch. And the Auditor is the Antivirus. To kill it, you have to delete the very system you are trying to save!"

Ren stopped. He looked back at the Earth—a small, fragile blue marble hanging in the dark. He saw Jin-Woo fighting on the ground. He saw the people he had spent his life observing from the shadows.

If he killed the Auditor here, the backlash of energy would wipe the Earth's "Code" clean. No more magic. No more hunters. No more Jin-Woo.

"I won't delete them," Ren whispered, his body beginning to glow with a terrifying, unstable white light. "I'll move the server."

The Great Migration

"Ren, what are you doing?" Jin-Woo's voice echoed through their mental link. He felt the ground beneath him turning soft, like he was standing on liquid data.

"I'm taking us out of the play, Hyung," Ren said. He sounded tired. "The Absolute Being's loop... I'm breaking the circle and making it a line."

Ren plunged his hands into his own chest. He grabbed the "Void Heart"—the core that held the Rulers, the Monarchs, and the System's power—and he pulled it apart.

The resulting explosion wasn't fire. It was a wave of pure "Nothingness" that moved through the solar system.

The White Gate tried to suck the energy in, but Ren was pushing back. He was weaving the "Void" around the Earth like a protective cocoon, hiding it in the "Folders" of the universe where the Auditor couldn't find it.

"Chapter 28..." Ren whispered as his body began to dissolve into pure light. "...The Protagonist leaves the stage."

The New Reality

When the light faded, the White Gate was gone. The Examiners were gone. The Auditor was gone.

The Earth was still there. But when the astronomers looked through their telescopes, the stars were different. The moon was gone. They were in a pocket dimension—a "Safe Mode" created by the Void Monarch.

In the center of Seoul, a massive statue of a boy in a hoodie appeared overnight. It wasn't made of stone; it was made of a material that absorbed all light.

Jin-Woo stood at the base of the statue. He was still a Shadow Monarch, but his "System" was different now. It was a simple, clean interface that read:

[Status: Free] [Administrator: Ren (Offline)]

Jin-Woo looked at the statue and smiled. In his pocket, the chipped bronze dagger began to vibrate.

"You're still here, aren't you? Somewhere in the code."

A small text box appeared in the air in front of Jin-Woo. It wasn't a quest. It was just a message.

[Ren: Just writing the next chapter. Don't wake me up yet.]
