Chapter 80 - Mitsuri's Absurd Strength

The reincarnation ended shortly after.

Mitsuri felt an itch on her back. The next second, a pair of wings emerged from her back, tearing through her clothes. It was a strange feeling, yet somewhat wonderful.

Her power seemed to have increased greatly. Are the powers of devils all this immense?

Would she accidentally hurt Abel-kun because she couldn't control her power?

Just as Mitsuri's thoughts were running wild, Abel asked, "Is anything uncomfortable?"

"No, I feel great." Mitsuri quickly snapped back to reality and then patted her arm as she spoke.

Seeing her reaction, Abel chuckled.

Mitsuri blushed and lowered her head. However, she still leaned on Abel's shoulder.

"Abel-kun, I've become a devil."

"Yes, I know."

"Will we be together forever?"

"We will."

After a while, Mitsuri whispered, "Can we go see my parents?"

Abel nodded. "No problem."

The gate of the Kanroji family slowly opened.

"Abel-kun, I'm entrusting this child, Mitsuri, to you. Please treat her well."

"Alright."

"Brother-in-law, be good to my sister, or else we four brothers still know a thing or two about fighting."

"Mhm."

"Don't let my sister get thin from hunger."

"What are you talking about!"

Mitsuri glared at her younger brother with dissatisfaction. But she quickly returned to normal.

"Dad, Mom, and brothers, I'm leaving."

"Go on, and make sure to learn how to be a qualified wife."

"Got it."

Just like that, the two left the Kanroji residence.

Abel initially thought he would need to use some extraordinary means, or say something like 'I have quite a bit of family wealth' to silence them.

But he never expected...

The Kanroji family gave him a box of small gold bars, then patted his shoulder and said with a smile, "Mitsuri is in your hands."

They were quite generous. Moreover, if they were even a little poor, they wouldn't be able to afford to raise Mitsuri.

The town at night was quite lively. The two walked hand in hand down the bustling street.

"Abel, I want to eat this."

"Okay."

"This is good too."

"Eat it."

Abel looked at Mitsuri, who was happily eating beside him, and smiled indulgently.

Honestly, if conditions allowed, this foodie would definitely keep eating. She should get along well with Hana, as both of them are on the same level. And they should have a lot to talk about regarding desserts.

Abel glanced towards a certain spot.

"Were we discovered?"

"I don't know, but the scent of these two people is intoxicating to us."

"Wait, don't rush. When there are fewer people, we'll strike by surprise. Don't attract the demon slayers."

"Understood."

In the shadows, a few demons whispered to each other.

They looked at Abel and Mitsuri, swallowing their saliva. This scent was even more captivating to them than rare blood.

"Abel, I feel like something is watching me."

Mitsuri hugged Abel's arm and whispered.

After becoming a devil, Mitsuri's external perception had become more sensitive, especially to such an unsettling gaze.

"It's nothing, just a few little demons have set their sights on us." Abel said with a disdainful smirk.

Demons?

Mitsuri was a bit confused. "Are they the man-eating demons from legends?"

"That's right."

Hearing Abel's words, Mitsuri hugged his arm even tighter.

Abel comforted her, "Don't worry, nothing will happen."

With that, he led Mitsuri towards a less crowded area. Seeing this, the demons followed suit.

As the crowd thinned, the two stopped in an open space.

A chance!

"Hahaha, delicious flesh and blood, here I come!"

Just then, those demons, taking advantage of the sparse crowd, suddenly darted out from the shadows.

"Ahhhh!" Mitsuri instinctively shouted.

She instinctively slapped one of the demons across the face. A crisp sound rang out, and the demon's head was instantly smashed.

The other demons were stunned.

Mitsuri was also stunned, staring blankly at her hand, not expecting her casual slap to have such power.

Abel, on the other hand, raised an eyebrow in surprise. It seemed that Mitsuri's power after becoming a devil was somewhat beyond expectation.

The demon that had been decapitated slowly regenerated its head. Then he quickly retreated, pointing at Mitsuri. "You... you're a monstrously strong woman, even stronger than a bear or a tiger!"

Abel raised an eyebrow.

These few demons were doomed.

Monstrously... monstrously strong woman?

Mitsuri was completely distraught.

"How dare you say that about me!" Mitsuri's face was flushed with anger.

Abel felt as if her hair was about to float up, though he wasn't sure if it was his imagination.

Mitsuri handed her belongings to Abel. Her two eyes stared intently at the demons in front of her. For some reason, the demons felt their legs trembling. They seemed to have angered an extraordinary individual.

Mitsuri stomped her foot, creating a large dent in the ground. In just an instant, she appeared before the four demons. She clenched her fists and threw punch after punch at the demons with incredible speed.

The demons who couldn't react were instantly pulverised by the immense force.

"No, no, no!!"

Constantly regenerating, constantly being pulverised, the demons began to lose the will to live.

After a while, Mitsuri finished venting and paused.

Was she too violent?

She quickly turned back, wanting to explain to Abel, when she heard him say.

"Mitsuri, well done."

Saying that, Abel also went over and ruffled her head.

Mitsuri, who was originally a bit worried, blushed upon hearing Abel's praise and seeing his actions.

"It was nothing."

"Alright, I'll take care of the rest."

"Mhm."

Abel conjured a katana, then gripped it tightly, causing the blade to turn crimson.

Then he swung the sword with perfectly controlled. force, exterminating the demons.

Afterward, he and Mitsuri held hands again and continued to enjoy the beautiful night in the town.
