Chapter 141 - Void Mantle

When Uriel woke up, a full day had passed.

At first, he worried that he had lost control of his minions, but he sighed in relief when he still felt the continuous amount of essence he was receiving.

Uriel summoned the infinite bottle, took several sips to quench his thirst, then lay down on the side of the small boat that continued its uninterrupted course toward the past.

From the point where he had fallen until now, he had traveled an immense number of kilometers, and there was still no sign of the city of Weave.

Uriel sat up, looking out over the endless expanse of the great river. The seven divine suns were in the sky, shining, bringing the day. Looking up above him, he saw thousands of flying abominations moving like a black swarm, then at the waters, feeling the enormous number of abominations that followed him through his domain.

Uriel decided to summon the memory he had created.

He watched as black sparks formed over his body, covering it completely.

The tunic adapted perfectly to his body. It was made of black, soft-to-the-touch silk and possessed armor plates to withstand powerful impacts. The armor was just as he remembered it — it fit him excellently, and best of all, it had style.

Uriel held his breath and summoned the runes. The runes read:

Memory: [Void Mantle]

Memory Rank: Supreme

Memory Level: VII

Memory Type: Armor

Uriel smiled happily. He had succeeded. Enthusiastically, he continued reading.

Memory Description: [Navigating through a tomb made by the terror demon where many truths are kept. Lord of Darkness faced many horrors and survived them all. Challenging the pyramid in a display of pride and arrogance, he said: "I am going to create an armor that challenges the impossible." And just as he said, using the fragments of the horrors he murdered, he used them to create an armor that defied destiny.]

Enchantments: [Living Shadow] [Concealment] [Blessing of the Mind] [Curse] [Dark Regeneration] [Shapeshift] [Retribution]

[Living Shadow] Enchantment Description: [This armor automatically reacts to attacks with lethal intent]

[Concealment] Enchantment Description: [This armor completely hides its user in darkness]

[Blessing of the Mind] Enchantment Description: [This enchantment greatly increases learning speed in any area]

[Curse] Enchantment Description: [This enchantment unleashes multiple curses upon enemies in a large area]

[Dark Regeneration] Enchantment Description: [When enveloped in darkness, your wounds heal at high speed]

[Shapeshift] Enchantment Description: [This memory can change its form freely]

[Retribution] Enchantment Description: [Upon receiving a mortal wound, this enchantment allows you to send the wound back to the aggressor]

Uriel smiled. The enchantments he had worked so hard to create were now on his most powerful armor in his arsenal.

He had struggled to find the best enchantments for this memory. Finally, he decided to review his memories and echoes, from which he took the best and most useful and adaptable ones.

The first two were the original two enchantments from the black mantle.

The third enchantment, [Blessing of the Mind], came from the [Scholar] enchantment of the saint's mantle. The fourth enchantment, [Curse], was inspired by Nyx's ability and how useful it was to unleash dozens of curses on abominations to weaken them.

The fifth enchantment, [Dark Regeneration], was based on the [Regeneration] enchantment of the saint's mantle, allowing rapid healing when surrounded by darkness.

The sixth enchantment, [Shapeshift], occurred to him after using his supreme memory as a boat. It allowed him to change the armor's appearance to casual clothes while always remaining protected. Finally, his seventh enchantment — the one that cost him the most work — was based on an anime that returned physical damage to the opponent, though he couldn't remember the name of the series.

With these seven enchantments, he felt much better and more prepared to fight against any great beast that might attack him.

After reviewing the runes, Uriel looked at his new Attribute.

[Sorcerer]

[Sorcerer] Attribute Description: "You are capable of forging any object with great mastery."

Raising an eyebrow, he took out an Awakened soul fragment, creating black threads that connected the fragment to himself. After taking a cup from his dark storage, he began to weave.

It took him only a few seconds to turn the cup into a memory. Unlike before, when he had to concentrate on joining each thread and ensuring it was stable, he now did it with much greater skill — it was even surprisingly easy to achieve.

The cup simply had one enchantment: to summon it at will. He tested this by throwing it into the river, waiting a few minutes, and then invoking it back into his hand.

After confirming the enchantment worked, he returned it to his sea of souls.

Uriel stretched and then watched as the seven suns hid. He was attacked by another great abomination, but his minions killed it, and he recovered the supreme soul fragment, which he stored in his dark storage.

The rest of the night was calm, without any surprise attacks.

Finally, Shade woke up.

They talked for a while, during which Shade returned to his interior, and with that, Uriel stopped the small boat, which he transformed back into a green jade bracelet.

Falling into the cold waters of the great river, he transformed into his sea serpent form — a hundred meters in diameter. Since he had no need to fight against any unknown horror, he decided to pick up the pace.

Three full months had already passed since he fell into Ariel's Tomb, and he wanted to find people.

Looking at his abominations controlled by his domain, he decided to continue using them to have essence but would not add any more.

Uriel controlled his enormous serpentine body and advanced like a projectile at maximum speed, covering hundreds of meters each second. Behind him, thousands of abominations — both aquatic and flying — followed him on his journey down the great river.

Uriel advanced along the great river from the future toward the past at breakneck speed. Every abomination in his path was destroyed just by brushing against his serpentine body.

At one point, Uriel grew bored until he felt something. Following that sensation, he raised his body above the water and saw an enormous partially submerged island. Uriel blinked a couple of times until he recognized what it was.

It was a turtle. Not the caiman turtle he had killed, but a completely different one — coated with metal plates and moss growing on its irregular surface.

The enormous turtle raised its face, observing the intruder.

Uriel smiled in his manifestation and summoned the great tyrant — his most powerful echo, whose size dwarfed the great monster before him in the past. The tyrant was an enormous, fleshy creature with hundreds of tentacles several kilometers long.

However, although its appearance hadn't been drastically altered, its once milky, fleshy skin had turned jet black like the abyss with purple reflections. Its eyes had become two pools of mixed purple and white light.

Its insidious will descended upon the great river, drowning the great monster's will like an insect.

Above the supreme tyrant's head stood Uriel, arms crossed, as what could be called a smile spread across his face.
