A few days later, Elora was finally out of bed. Hope how nice the fresh breeze felt on the skin. Oasis had constantly nagged her. Not even a step out of the room or off the bed was allowed. Now she could finally enjoy the beauty of their garden. She was busy looking at that one wildflower and reviewing her days when a hand suddenly came to rest on her shoulders. She was startled. She didn't like surprises at all especially When she was in deep thought, as she shriveled and shook. A hearty laughter came from behind.
It was Oasis. He was seeking his liberties finally, with his sister on the receiving end of the teasing, and in this case, a light spook. ''You know, I don't like surprises, especially sudden ones.'' She looked at him with a not so pleased tone. Oasis, who had finally got over his laughter and now had a wide grin over his face, looked at his troubled sister.'' Relax sis, look at this'' he said while holding out a letter in his hand. On examination, one could see that the paper used was of rather high quality for a letter bearing no family seal. Rather it was sealed with plain wax and no other clue as to who the sender was.
Oasis saw the questioning look on his sister's face. He then explained ''it came with all the invitations today I thought of throwing it out, but it looked rather odd in the pile. High quality like the others with no seal or mention''. He said ''it only had one thing on it, the recipient. Lady Lysander'', he continued. ''I thought it's from someone you know, so I bought it here. Who is it, from sis?'' He looked curious, but Elora only felt more puzzled.'' I don't know of any such letter or sender'', she spoke. They were both now curious and puzzled as they peered over the envelope before them. Though skeptical, they decided to open it. Their face darkened at once. It was as if dark clouds had come to cover the sun.
The letter couldn't get more ominous. It was a letter from the palace. Greetings. I hope you have had a pleasant day. I have heard much about the marquisate of Lysander. And its recent endeavors. I like your idea regarding the recent venture very much and would love to listen to them in detail. Accordingly, inviting the Lysander's to the palace.
that was all it mentioned roughly at least. The letter was stamped at the bottom with the seal, the seal of the now crowned crown. When he was still the second Prince it bore the seal of the Summer Palace in rusty yellow.
