Facing Raditz's question, Bardock put on a stern expression, gave a small grunt, and said nothing.
Gine shot him an annoyed glance. She pulled her hand free from Bardock's and gently took Raditz's hand.
"Yes," she said softly, "we came to see your brother one last time. He's about to leave Saiyan Star. Raditz, you need to be sensible, understand?"
Raditz looked confused. "Mother, why does my brother have to leave Saiyan Star? He's still so young."
Gine sighed quietly. "Raditz, life here would be too difficult for your brother. It's better for him to go somewhere else."
Raditz nodded, only half understanding. "Mother, I will remember."
Gine continued seriously, "Raditz, remember this. If one day your father and I are no longer here, you must go to Earth and bring your brother back."
Raditz immediately answered firmly, "Mother, don't worry! I definitely will!"
Gine gently stroked Raditz's head. "Good child. Your brother will depend on you to take care of him in the future."
At that moment, Bardock finally spoke.
"Raditz, you are the older brother. You must carry that responsibility."
Raditz straightened his back and declared loudly, "Father, I understand! I will train hard, become stronger, and protect my brother!"
Bardock stepped forward and opened the incubator.
Gine instantly cried out in alarm, "Bardock, no!"
Her voice was filled with worry. After all, Kakarot's power level was only five. She feared he wouldn't be able to withstand the immense gravity of Saiyan Star.
Bardock carefully lifted Kakarot and immediately wrapped him in his own energy, using it to counteract the planet's heavy gravity.
Then he smiled and handed the baby to Gine.
"Here. As his mother, you should hold him."
Gine nodded as tears filled her eyes. Her hands trembled slightly as she accepted Kakarot and gently kissed his sleeping face.
"Bardock, Kakarot looks exactly like you," she said, her voice trembling.
Bardock laughed. "Raditz also looks a lot like me. It's just that his hairstyle takes after you, which makes him seem a little different."
Standing beside them, Raditz puffed out his chest proudly.
"I want to become as strong as Father!"
After holding Kakarot for a while, Gine suddenly let out a deep sigh. Her eyes became firm.
"Bardock… let's go to the space launch station. We'll send Kakarot away now."
Bardock frowned slightly. "Didn't we say we'd wait a few days? Why the sudden change?"
Gine lowered her gaze to the baby in her arms.
"No… I'm afraid I won't be able to let him go if I stay longer. Let's send him away now."
Without waiting for Bardock's response, she hugged Kakarot tightly and walked away.
Bardock and Raditz hurried after her.
On the way, Raditz suddenly asked, "Father, if my brother goes to a low-level planet, what about his training? Won't he fall behind the other Saiyans in the future?"
Bardock smiled and asked back, "If Kakarot becomes weak in the future, will you look down on him?"
Raditz shook his head immediately.
"How could I? Even if his power level is low, he's still my brother. I will protect him!"
Bardock nodded with satisfaction.
It seemed the education about Saiyan unity over the years had worked well.
"No," Bardock continued calmly. "Earth is actually a very suitable planet for Kakarot to grow up on. The next time we meet, he might even surpass me."
Raditz stopped walking and stared at Bardock seriously.
"That's impossible. Father is the strongest Saiyan and the great hero of our people. No one can surpass Father, not even my brother."
Bardock burst out laughing.
"Silly child. Who can predict the future? Come on, your mother has already gone far ahead."
Only then did Raditz snap out of it and quickly catch up.
Soon, they arrived at the space launch center.
The place was bustling with activity. Countless Saiyans and alien races serving the Saiyan Empire moved about busily.
The moment Bardock's family appeared, the entire area fell into respectful silence.
The Saiyans straightened their backs, placed their right fists over their chests, and bowed.
"Greetings, Emperor! Empress! And His Royal Highness, the First Prince!"
The other alien races immediately knelt and lowered their heads.
"Greetings to His Majesty, the Saiyan Emperor! Her Majesty the Empress! And His Royal Highness, the First Prince!"
Little Raditz flushed with excitement and pride as he looked around.
He muttered to himself, "This is Father's prestige."
But Gine paid no attention to the crowd.
Her entire focus was on the baby in her arms.
Finally, Bardock waved his hand casually.
"Return to your work. Space station manager, take us to the royal family's exclusive launch platform."
A frog-like alien hurried forward and bowed repeatedly.
"Your Majesty the Saiyan Emperor, please follow me."
Soon, they arrived at the royal launch platform.
A single-person spacecraft bearing the Saiyan royal emblem stood ready with its hatch open.
Gine held Kakarot tightly, kissing him again and again.
"My child… you must live well."
Finally, wiping away her tears, she gently placed him inside the spacecraft.
Bardock stepped forward and placed a purple Saiyan emblem into Kakarot's small clothes.
"Child, carry this honor and live bravely."
Raditz watched silently.
He searched his body for something he could give his brother.
Finally, he gritted his teeth and removed his cape.
He gently covered Kakarot with it.
"Little brother, this is a token of my affection."
Soon, the hatch closed.
The small spacecraft slowly rose into the sky before accelerating like a shooting star and disappearing into the distance.
The three of them stood silently, watching until it vanished.
Bardock looked at Raditz.
"Can you be strong like a man?"
Raditz nodded firmly.
Seeing this, Bardock supported Gine as they began walking away.
After confirming his parents had gone far enough, Raditz turned his head.
Without hesitation, he fired an energy blast at the frog-like alien who was still bowing nearby.
"You know too many royal secrets."
The alien was instantly reduced to ashes.
Raditz then quickly ran after Bardock and Gine.
When Bardock saw him catch up, he frowned slightly.
"Is it done?"
Raditz puffed out his chest proudly. "Of course. Something this small can't trouble me."
Bardock snorted.
"Then why aren't you at school? What are you doing here? If I find out you skipped class, I'll beat you."
Raditz pouted and muttered, "I've already learned everything they teach there."
At a fork in the road, Raditz separated from Bardock and Gine.
Suddenly—
A violent green aura erupted into the sky outside the royal city.
Its power level surged to 1.2 million.
Bardock's expression instantly changed.
"That's Broly's energy. Why would he suddenly release his power on Saiyan Star? I'll go check."
Gine nodded, forcing a faint smile.
"Go. Be careful. I can return to the palace myself."
However, Bardock suddenly picked her up and flew into the air.
"Bardock! What are you doing?" Gine exclaimed.
"I need to make sure you're safe first."
Within moments, Bardock landed in the imperial garden and gently set Gine down in front of a small wooden house.
Without another word, he turned and shot toward the direction of Broly's energy.
As he flew, a thought flashed through his mind.
That aura just now…
It clearly belongs to a Legendary Super Saiyan.
