Scarlett Aurora Whitmore came to New York City with big dreams of becoming an artist. Armed with the address of an agency given to her by her stepsister, she left her hometown without knowing that the address was fake and the agency was known as a place full of traps. Her first day in the capital turns into a nightmare when Scarlett falls victim to a pickpocket and loses everything.

"Called it. No way they were just family."


"Another industry setup. Nothing real about her."


Scarlett locked her phone. Her chest tightened, but no tears came. She was past that.


A knock came at the door. Before she could respond, it opened.
