The wind roared past Lucille's ears as Ashrik carried her through the noon sky. The forest rushed up beneath them. His action was enough telling how urgent the situation was.
"Brother Ash!" she shouted, her voice rising above the wind. She gripped his sleeve tightly. "Can you explain to me?"
Everything was too abrupt and uncanny. Lucille wasn't the only one who was shocked when the first blast blared from the forest.
Felix cried in surprise, saying he had sensed Isaac's aura. What had alarmed him most was the malevolent energy that he had perceived along, clearly belonging to a zombie.
Hazel and Felix suggested going there as soon as possible. The latter had almost sprinted to get one of the superbikes, easier to weave through the forest.
Regina was calmer, reminding them no one could breach into the space. She believed Isaac was back because of Ashrik. There was also a reason why a zombie was with him.
