Merilyn opened the doors, and as expected, I was met with hundreds of gazes of scrutiny. There were tens of rows of seats all around the room, and in the very center was a court-like stand. There was even a judge sitting there in that casual judge attire I remembered from my old world.
Still, I felt like whatever bullshit they're going to do to me won't be nice, since most of these people here despised me.
In one of the stands, I spotted all the saviors. Kai in particular was giving me quite the complicated look, and if I remembered correctly, he was the person who ran away and snitched to Ren about what was happening there.
He was the reason why Clementine and I were separated.
...So he's also going to be the very first person I kill once I get out of this place.
Regardless of that, I continued walking ahead, until eventually, I arrived at the lone chair in front of the judge. There were no tables or anything else around, which almost made it look like some humiliation ritual.
