Trunks flinched. "Dad, I'm sorry! If you don't agree, I won't take Brother Gohan as my master!"
Vegeta's expression softened slightly. "You may study under Gohan, but I have one condition."
"What condition, Dad?"
"You absolutely must not lose to Goten."
The proud Vegeta would never tolerate his son falling behind a boy one year younger.
"Alright, Dad! Then… can I go find Goten now?"
"Mm."
Vegeta nodded.
Trunks happily ran out of the Gravity Chamber.
Mount Paozu
Goten and Lagss were currently practicing the standard Kaio-ken. They were still far from mastering the flawless 20x version.
At that moment, Trunks flew in from a distance.
"Trunks!"
He nodded and landed on the grass.
"Goten, where's your brother?"
"He's training in the Gravity Chamber."
"I see!"
"Why are you here?"
"My dad agreed to let me become Brother Gohan's disciple!"
"Really? That's great!"
Trunks nodded. "I'll go find him first and come back later!"
"Sure!"
He flew off toward the Gravity Chamber.
Lagss watched him leave and said, "Looks like we're getting another junior brother."
"Junior brother?" Goten asked.
"It means someone who starts learning under the same master after you."
"Oh! Then am I your junior brother?"
"No Gohan is your brother. He teaches you because you're family."
"I get it!"
Inside the Gravity Chamber
Gohan was doing one-finger push-ups when the door opened.
"Trunks!"
"Brother Gohan, my dad agreed!"
Gohan stood up. "Really?"
As Trunks stepped forward, Gohan quickly stopped him. "Don't come in. The gravity is set to 800 times normal."
"E-eight hundred times?!" Trunks immediately pulled his foot back.
Vegeta trained at 500 times gravity, and that was while transformed into a Super Saiyan. Gohan could handle 800 times in base form.
Gohan reset the gravity to normal and walked over. "Trunks, are you serious about becoming my disciple?"
Trunks nodded firmly.
"Good. For now, train with Goten. Later, I'll have Lagss teach you the Cloning Technique."
"Okay… Master!"
"You can still call me Brother Gohan."
Though not related by blood, Gohan always considered Trunks family.
"Alright, Brother Gohan!"
That evening, after a full day of training, Trunks returned home.
He had barely sat down when Vegeta stepped out of the Gravity Chamber.
"Dad!"
Vegeta nodded. "How was your training?"
"Pretty good?"
"Is that so? Care to train with me?"
"W-with you?"
"Not willing?"
"No, I'm just a bit tired. Maybe tomorrow?"
Vegeta's eyes turned cold. "This morning you said you didn't want to lose to Goten."
Without waiting for a response, he dragged Trunks into the Gravity Chamber.
From then on, Trunks trained with Gohan during the day and endured Vegeta's brutal training at night.
Five Months Later
After five months of intense cultivation, Gohan's battle power finally reached one trillion.

"Understood, Master. Your wish has been granted."
"Already granted?"
Gohan immediately extended his senses.
Deep beneath Earth's surface, an invisible yet incomparably powerful defensive barrier now surrounded the planet's core.
Even if a universe-level attack struck Earth, the underground core would remain intact.
Gohan smiled slightly.
With one trillion battle power, Ultra Instinct, and a universal-grade planetary defense in place, his next move could be far more ambitious.
