Rai watched as Zade and the rest of the group, along with their colleagues, offered their thanks to the older man. The chief laughed warmly, patting their backs and exchanging a few more cheerful parting words before letting them go.
Rai, meanwhile, was waiting in the passenger seat of the car.
He rubbed his face with both hands, groaning softly as he recalled how he had almost embarrassed himself just minutes earlier.
Well, technically, he put the blame entirely on Thomas. The incident had completely ruined Rai's mood.
