Chapter 30 - Chapter Thirty

Soraya's POV

A zap of electricity shot through my body the moment our skin met.

I gasped, feeling the fog in my head clear slightly.

"What?" I blinked, looking around, that's when I noticed it.

Gripping Draven's wrist with one hand, my other hand grabbed Lucen, legs wrapped around Kael awkwardly.

Only now did I realize that I was touching all three brothers at the same time.

The triplets stared at me with curious eyes, worried about creasing their brows. "Are you alright?"

"Huh?" I blinked slowly at them.

"Did it work?" Draven asked, looking carefully at me, from my face to my hold on his wrist. "Can you let go?" He frowned.

At once, my heart rate spiked, clenching painfully, my grip tightening around him.

"No!" I blurted, amplifying my strength holding all of them in place.

We were still on the bed, the heart monitor beeping as I fearfully clutched them closer.

"Alright," Kael breathed, rubbing smooth circles on my laps. "Calm down. You can hold us for how long you want, Draven doesn't mean it."

Draven in question pursed his lips, not commenting on it.

"Are you alright now Soraya?" Kael asked again, his hand not stopping.

My body tingled as he did that, the lingering heat in my body causing me to flush.

"Mmn," I nodded, lowering my head in embarrassment as slick dripped down my pussy obscenely loud.

My face burned bright red at the sound, wishing the ground could swallow me at that moment.

I couldn't tell the looks on their faces, but they didn't make any comments on the sound.

"Good." Kael said instead. "It's good that you are alright."

He sounded like he was almost worried for me which made it seem funny.

Suddenly, I felt Jada stir in my head, causing me to shift.

"Jada?" I called, watching as she walked carefully towards me. "Where have you been?"

Since the beginning of the second wave of heat, my wolf had gone MIA, and I couldn't even sense her presence.

~Soraya, I have something to tell you!

She yipped excitedly at me, her pale white fur shimmering like silky silver wools.

I paused, taking a good look at my wolf.

Compared to before, Jada's bland fur, she shone, golden bright eyes burning fiercely, the colour closer to my sun kissed ones.

"Your height!" I exclaimed, mentally rushing to examine my wolf.

Jada stood at a normal height of four meters, a typical omegan height that had always made me be labeled as weak, but that was before.

Now, she towered over me if I wasn't mistaken, and I was five foot three.

I had no idea how tall she was, but she looked over six to seven feet tall.

Jada turned excitedly in my head, showing off herself.

~This happened… heat!

She tried explaining, and this time I stopped taking note of her words.

This was the first time Jada was saying complete sentences to me.

What did that even mean? I thought we were weak, so when did all that start?

"What do you mean?" I voiced out instead.

~Heat.

Was all she said, before I felt a tap on my shoulder, pulling me out from my conversation with her.

"Huh?" I mumbled, looking at Kael's magnified face in front of me.

"Is everything alright with your wolf?"

"Yeah…" I said, clearing my throat as it cracked. "My wolf and I are fine thanks for asking."

Kael looked like he didn't believe me, the look in his eyes turning deep. "Are you sure?"

I tilted my head. "Why are you asking?"

I didn't mean to come out rude, but he was being weird.

My heat had gone, so now that I was back to normal, shouldn't he be acting less caring?

Kael shook his head, scrunching his nose. "It's nothing. It's just that you smell… different."

"You mean weird, it's messing with our wolves." Draven cut in.

I looked over at him, frowning.

Weird?

How?

I looked at myself, noticing my exposed skin, breasts standing firm on my chest, and my naked pussy resting snugly on Kael's tent.

My butt was stark, and all in all, I was naked.

Shame quickly took hold of me, and I let go of all these of them, climbing off Kael as I picked the fallen blanket using it to cover my body.

Moon goddess, how did I not feel I was naked?

I cursed, burying my face into the blanket.

"Don't be shy, it's normal." Kael said, surprising me.

I had thought he was going to make a snide comment like they usually did, but he didn't.

I peeked from under the blanket, staring at my mates.

Their faces were emotionless, not a twitch or a hint of disgust they usually held for me.

"You should get some rest. You have had a pretty rough day today." Kael told, standing to his feet.

The familiar panic instantly settled in, making me push my head out. "Are you all leaving?"

"No." Kael shook his head. "We are staying here."

"Then why did you stand up?" I questioned, not convinced.

I looked towards the door then back to them.

"You need to rest Soraya." He sighed.

"You can't do that if I am taking all the space on the bed."

"Oh…" I trailed off dumbly, looking at the small hospital bed.

It was true I was tired.

My eyes were growing heavy, I could barely keep them open.

"Promise me none of you will leave when I sleep." I said, holding out my pinky finger.

It was childish, I knew that, but if he didn't promise me, I would feel uneasy.

Despite being clear-headed, the need to keep my mates close to me was overwhelming.

All omegas coming from heat needed their mates' scents to still feel safe.

If I had had sex, their scents would have clung to me if they marked me along, but none of that happened making me feel empty and vulnerable.

Kael exhaled loudly, looking from my pinky then to my face.

Draven and Lucen both exchanged looks, holding back laughs, but one glare from Kael had them swallowing it up.

"I promise omega." Kael finally said, linking our fingers together. "Go to sleep."

Jada yipped in my head, and I shyly ducked under the bed, blushing.

Kael moved to the side, dragging a chair from who knows where, to sit on it, his brothers following.

Their stares locked onto me, and instead of feeling uncomfortable like I usually would, I felt safe, at peace even.

I let myself relax, the heaviness in my eyes growing as I shut them.

Slowly, I drifted into sleep, my mind fading in the silence.

….

Opening my eyes the next moment, the white ceiling was the first thing I saw, the hospital lights burning my eyes.

I winced, turning my head away , blinking rapidly.

My mind was quiet, Jada 's sleeping form mentally popping in my head.

Her fur caught my eyes once more, the earlier conversation I had with her surfacing.

She had left for an unknown amount of time, only to come out like this. Different.

Was that why Kael said my scent was different?

But it was unheard of.

Wolves don't evolve like that, neither do scents change.

She mentioned something about the heat. Could it have been that?

Thinking of how strange the heat had been, made me wonder about it.

The unusual way I burned, the constant whining and the ungodly amount of slick I leaked not to talk of the strength used to fight off the nurses and hold my mates in place.

Something was wrong.

Something was really wrong, and I couldn't put my finger on where.

Especially when I felt something deep within me move.

I frowned, the feeling was foreign. Ancient, like it had been there all along, just dormant.

Like a second hand coming alive.

What was this?

Lost in my muse, I failed to catch the sound of chairs scraping the floor. "Awake?"

I blinked, snapping out of my thoughts.

Kael, Draven and Lucen stood before me, looking at me.

My eyes widened slightly seeing them.

~They stayed!

Jada shouted before I could, and I could only stare at them in shock.

They actually stayed.

Asking them to make a promise to be here when I woke up had been on a whim. Again.

I never believed they would still be here, that's why I never bothered to look for them when I woke up, but who knew they didn't leave.

Did this mean they had been sitting and watching me this whole time?

I looked at them with burning eyes, the thought actually exciting me more than it should have.

"Why isn't she saying anything?" Lucen spoke, sounding irritated. "Is she still angry at us for trying to leave?"

Angry?

I wasn't angry.

I shook my head at him, and to prove it, I grabbed the two closest to me, Draven and Lucen, at their wrists.

A zap ran through my body as I made contact, a gasp leaving my lips.

Draven and Lucen both widened their eyes, looking at my hands holding them.

"What the hell was that?" Draven growled, looking at me with confusion, lust subtly brimming in his eyes.

"I…" I stammered, lost for words.

I couldn't explain the feeling, neither could Draven and Lucen.

"What's going on?" Kael asked, and before we could say anything, the door unexpectedly pushed open, a young nurse coming in.

Kael, Draven and Lucen growled at her, causing her to cower in fear.

She bowed, timidly, holding out a needle. "I am sorry your highnesses, but I need to give her this injection. It's important."
