The next morning, they mounted their horses and rode out of Thornfield as the sun rose. Within hours, the landscape changed from valleys to mountain passes.
By late afternoon, they arrived at the cottage.
It was small and surrounded by pine trees, with a stream running nearby.
"It's beautiful."
"Wait until you see inside."
The cottage was cozy within. There was a large main room with a fireplace, a small kitchen, and a sleeping loft above. It felt like a home.
"Everything we need for the week is here." Azrael said.
Lyanna walked through the space, running her hand over the furniture.
"I love it."
"Really?" Azrael sounded nervous. "It's not what you're used to…"
"It's perfect, exactly what we need. There are no servants and no pressure to be king and queen. We are just…us."
Azrael moved behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist. Lyanna leaned back against him.
"What do we do for a whole week?" She asked.
