Unlike human cities, the Elven city had no city lord or ruler; the one responsible for managing this city was the Elven High Priest Gamaliel. As for the Elven King, he lived deep within the Elven Forest and would not normally show himself easily to the outside world.
Johannes's group did not have to wait too long before they saw a group of Elves riding tall horses, wearing clean and beautiful silver armor, marching out of the city in an orderly manner.
The bustling dock was not in this direction, so the commotion caused by the Gryphons, apart from the Elves, remained unknown to the other non-humans and humans in the city.
Johannes was not in a hurry to let the Gryphons descend. He waited until that armored Elven squad finished getting into formation. Upon hearing a few clear and melodious whistle sounds transmitted from the oak forest, he then patted the Gryphon's neck and said to the others, "It is fine now, let's descend."
