The sky turned darker as the sun receded into the horizon, and the pale crescent moon shone in the sky.
Tonight, Mordica was doing something she had never done and never felt the need to.

She gritted her teeth with a displeased look as she packed her game consoles and others into the shelves, then neatly arranged her bedsheet.
Her room was always rough. Not because she was lazy and didn't like cleaning, but because she found no reason to. It wasn't like anyone would be bold enough to visit her, anyway.
Unfortunately, she was going to have a visitor tonight.
Suppressing her annoyance, she huffed and looked around the room. Now, it looked decent and presentable.
At that moment, she heard a knock on her door.
The little organ in her chest skipped a beat, but she immediately relaxed and reverted to her usual expression—cold and aloof.
