Yoon Seoyul reassured him gently after parking the car in front of their house, the engine falling silent as the familiar home came into view at the end of the stone pathway. He unfastened his seatbelt but didn't get out immediately, turning instead to look at Cheon Areum. Cheon Areum, however, remained completely unconvinced.
Still pouting, he kept his eyes fixed on the NT scan ultrasound picture resting carefully in his hands. The excitement he had carried into today's appointment had completely disappeared, replaced by visible disappointment. With his spirits at an all-time low, he asked the same question again.
"But why is the baby so small?"
"I called Haeun, and he said even Haneul was bigger than my baby at this stage."
