"Don't look but… Those friends of yours are behind you right now," I whispered.
All three of her froze up the moment she heard me.
I lowered my voice even more, "Just act normal. You'll draw less attention to yourself. They haven't spotted you yet."
She gave me a small nod before she went back to eating the sweets in front of her.
Even though she was trying her best to look normal, it was clear that she was being conscious of the direction of those girls.
At least they were too busy talking to each other to notice the rest of the store for now.
"Are they still messing with you?" I asked.
She paused for a moment, "When they see me… I guess…"
"Do they stay near us?"
"In the area, yes…"
"What do they even have on you that prevents you from fighting back? Are you worried that they would go to the police if you beat them up or something?"
