Tilly POV
I woke up warm.
The fireplace was thoroughly stocked with wood. Someone had tucked a blanket around me and a soft pillow under my cheek.
I blinked. The room was brighter. Sunlight was streaming through the window.
The rain had stopped.
I felt better. I turned around to talk to Chase.
"Chase, I am sorry about last night—" My voice trailed off
He was gone. The wheelchair was gone.
The only sign he had ever been there was a letter on the dresser.
The only sign that last night wasn't just a nightmare because why the hell would I do that in front of him, was his lingering scent.
I climbed out of bed. My feet were cold. I walked towards the dresser to pick the letter but stopped midway because—There were little notes everywhere.
I hadn't noticed it before. Everything in the little room had labels on them. Small pieces of paper, each one written in careful handwriting.
I picked one up. The one he stuck on the table.
Table - Black
I picked up another.
