Kyo Kusanagi said nothing. Iori Yagami let out a cold snort. Neither of them paid him any mind.
However, the others around them erupted into chaos. Mai Shiranui, Yuri Sakazaki, and Kasumi Todoh all stared at him with expressions like they had just seen a ghost.
Their faces burned with embarrassment. Just moments ago, they had been so adamant, so certain that no one could possibly make these two bitter rivals listen to reason at the same time.
And yet, they had been proven wrong in an instant. With a single sentence, Kawasaki had silenced them both.
"Heavens, how did he do that? What on earth did he say?" The same thought flashed through the minds of all three women.
They were dying to know how Kawasaki had managed it.
But unfortunately for them, Kawasaki had no intention of explaining. His gaze remained fixed on Kyo Kusanagi and Iori Yagami.
"As I said before, I can help you resolve the matter of your shared destiny," Kawasaki said, his voice calm and even. "Of course, that's only if you're willing to listen. If you're not, then there's nothing I can do."
"Who are you? How do you know about us?" It was Kyo who spoke this time. He stared intently at Kawasaki, his expression grim.
That's right—grim. All his earlier arrogance had vanished, completely erased by the sheer shock of Kawasaki's words.
The fated rivalry between him and Iori was a secret. Besides themselves and the core members of their respective clans, it was impossible for any outsider to know about it.
And yet, Kawasaki had exposed it with a single phrase. How could he possibly know?
