"Now then, let's get things started,"
This was the last few words Aether spoke before casting a fire spell that turned into a small, sharp arrow. He aimed it at the assassin, Karvashe Rin and it shotted so fast Karvashe barely reacted to it. She managed to dodge it before shooting a few shots at the Perfect Mage. As same, the bullets missed but the ground seems to be pretty damaged. Aether rushed toward Karvashe and grabbed the tip of her rifle which shocked her. She tried to shoot the Perfect Mage but the bullet just fall out of the tip of the rifle as it released. The grabbed rifle was then pulled and singed onto the wall at the top of the building. Karvashe cried in pain but still chose to fight.
She decided to hop onto the next building and run away from the Perfect Mage to draw some distance away from him. Knowing that shooting him wouldn't do anything to him, she decided to get creative by using the surrounding. Aether floated up in the air in search for her which revealed himself to the assassin for easier aim. Karvashe hid behind a wall on the top of the building and casted a telescopic sight magic circle and focus onto Aether. She inserted more ammo into the rifle and raised it to aim at Aether. There is nothing else to shoot in the sky which she clicked her tongue. She then had an epiphany to shoot a nearby building. This would distract the Perfect Mage which is exactly what the client said.
Bang!
A loud explosion sounded in the air. This successfully draws the attention of Aether Lupen which goes as Karvashe planned. A part of the building falls apart which shattered into many debris. Everyone down below are now screaming for help and trying to run away. Aether quickly casted a spell in a nick of time. This spell is large so that not a single debris will be missed.
"El Hydro---Dragon!"
Aether draw out a pure white wand with a tiny sapphire orb at the bottom from his cloak and casted a spell that summoned a water-made dragon by using the water molecules in the atmosphere. The dragon slide through every debris and falls onto a top of a building.
Karvashe jumped down the building and blend in with the crowd, using this chance to escape. She cover her face with the cloak and quickly walked away.
"Hey"
"Watch where you're going!"
She bumped into various people as she walked. She ignored them and then,
"OW!"
She head on bumped into a hero. They both fall back onto the ground.
"Are you alright?"
She looked up and saw the hero stretching his arm for her. They locked eyes together with her crimson red eyes glowing bright. She simply flicked it away saying:"I'm fine," and covered her face with the cloak.
She tried to walk away quickly but got stopped by that hero.
"Wait, that crimson eyes of yours, and that rifle, you matched someone particular,"
"Many people have crimson eyes,"
"But your rifle..., no doubt, that you are Karvashe Rin, one of the finest assassin in the world,"
The hero drew out his sword and pointed at her. The hero then went head on, giving the assassin less time to react. She quickly drew out her rifle from the back and blocked the attack with the long slim blade attached onto it. Karvashe looked above and noticed the Perfect Mage is looking for her. She clicked her tongue and dashed toward the hero. Instead of going head on, she dash to the side which the hero did not expect and strike the blade at his waist. The hero barely block it before being kicked by the assassin and sent flying onto a wall. The hero crashed and fall down. He stood back up, coughing as the assassin quickly ran away. The Perfect Mage heard the crash and descend onto the ground.
"Are you alright? Wait, Raye Winston, you're here,"
The hero look upward, looking at the mage in front of him.
"Lord Aether? You're here, too, I supposed you're looking for that assassin, she went that way,"
The hero, Raye Winston, pointed left from where he is standing.
"Got it,"
"Wait!"
Raye pulled Aether's cloak, preventing him from moving forward.
"I-I'm sorry, but, let me fight with you too!"
Aether hesitated for a while, but reluctantly declined the offer.
"Thanks for your offer, but Karvashe Rin isn't any normal assassin, she might be a tough opponent for you, not that I'm looking down on you or anything! You did conquered a dungeon!"
"But Lord Aether, I want to know if I'm worthy or not,"
"..., you are worthy enough for me, fine, I'll let you join me, but be careful,"
Aether then grabbed his wand from his cloak and casted an ice spell by freezing the water molecules in the atmosphere into icy steps.
"El Glaceo---Steto,"
Aether climbed up the stairs as the grinning Raye tagged along. Raye looked down below from a high a found the assassin however he also found Will and Al too.
"There they are!"
"Where?"
"Oh no, I mean Will and Al, the assassin Karvashe Rin is over there,"
Aether looked over at Raye's direction then looked to where Raye is pointing at.
"Alright thanks, get ready for impact Mr Raye,"
"What do you mea-"
Aether then grabbed Raye on the waist and jumped off the icy stairs. He flew towards the assassin as she noticed the Perfect Mage and raised her rifle. She aimed at Raye but the bullet missed since Raye is also in the Perfect Mage five feet radius spell.
She looked around her surrounding and hopped onto the wall of the building and launched herself onto the sky. Now meeting the Perfect Mage face to face in the sky, she aimed her rifle and shoot. Before entering five feet into Aether, it exploded which turned into a fire that wrapped around the Perfect Mage.
"What is this?"
"Don't worry Mr Raye, as long you're with me, you'll be fine,"
The fire completely nullified but then:
Bang!
A loud explosion sounded behind Aether and Raye. They looked behind a noticed the tall clock tower completely exploded and is falling down.
"Sorry Mr Raye, but I gonna have to drop you,"
"Wait-"
Aether dropped Raye to stop the falling tower. Raye fell onto the ground but got saved by shadow tendrils casted by none other but Will Beuratt.
"Will!"
"Everyone is focused onto the Perfect Mage and the falling clock tower so Will is able to safely cast the shadow tendrils.
"El Hydro---Sphero!"
This spell gather up the water molecules in the atmosphere and fused them into a large water sphere. This water sphere was casted among the falling tower and the debris which locked all of them inside the water sphere.
Then Aether cast another spell that send the water sphere far away towards the dune.
"El Gus!"
The gust of wind blew Aether's hair which makes it sway around. Woman down below all fell for the charming Perfect Mage.
Aether looked behind for the assassin as she had already been hopping on the wall of buildings, running away from the Perfect Mage.
"You know, I really liked the bullet that turned into a whirl fire, that really amused me, to the point that I got to recreate it myself with magic,"
For Aether Lupen was a prodigy since birth, over the years, he had learn to analyze magic or anything to the point that within a second, he can decipher anything and recreate it with magic.
Aether casted a small fire arrow and aimed it at the assassin. He also casted the telescopic sight magic circle to have a better aim and lock in onto the assassin. The arrow then shot in insane speed that the assassin, Karvashe Rin barely reacted to it which led to her defeat. She was covered in flame around her as she falls onto the ground.
"That was a fantastic battle, you surprised me with your tactic and brilliant critical thinking, Karvashe Rin, but in the end, I won,"
Everyone down below are cheering over the victory of the Perfect Mage. Not knowing that the sky is slowly turning blood red. Suddenly, a loud voice echoed through the speaker of the city square. It seems that someone has infiltrated the government property and is now making an announcement.
"congratulations, Perfect Mage, but very much thanks to Miss Karvashe Rin, now then you will notice the sky is turning red,"
Aether looked around the city up high as if he is looking for unusual people among the crowd.
"You're too late, Perfect Mage Aether Lupen, the age of calamity will begin, everyone in the Kingdom of Sahhara shall bow to the SUN Cult!"
Everyone is now terrified. Raye got chills sent down his spine.
"My men have casted a curtain covering the whole Kingdom of Sahhara so that none of you will escape!"
Will then recalled seeing people in velvet red cloak walking by. "Those must have been the men the voice in the speaker is speaking about," Thoughts covered over Will's mind.
"Now then, get ready, for I am one of the Warlock of Calamity, Enceladus Lauren, you will now bow to the SUN Cult!"
