Lucian's POV
The live stream counter from Ethan ended, but his voice stayed and continued to resonate in my head.
I stared at the frozen screen for three full seconds before the rage swallowed me whole.
I turned to Aria who was still sitting on the couch with her phone clutched in both hands like it was the only thing keeping her grounded.
"Is it true?" I asked. My voice came out rougher and harsh than I had intended it to.
Aria blinked. "What?"
"What Ethan just said. The fertility test and the disease. Is it true?"
She stared at me like she was dumb and incapable of responding and that made my rage build up.
"No," she said. A word finally left her lips. "No, Lucian. I don't know anything about a fertility test. I've never had one and neither have I been told that I can't conceive. You of all people should know he's lying and making all of it up."
