Jake said, "Guys, let's do this." He pressed his watch button; the others followed. Their bodies glowed, transforming into costumes.
Gabriel, who was now Blaze, transformed into a red costume.
Jake changed to Hydrix and his costume was blue.
Michael was now Vox with a green costume.
Michelle changed to Aerius with her white costume.
Sandra turns to Terrax and her costume is a yellow costume.
Hair and eye lenses matched their colors; masks were black.
Michelle laughed, "Wow, I need a picture." She snapped a selfie.
Blaze said, "Focus." Some hissed, "Who are you to tell us?"
Hydrix shouted, "Let's do it." They pressed another button; weapons attached to their hands:
- Blaze: double‑katana swords.
- Hydrix: long iron staff with a three‑pronged fork tip.
- Vox: single long saw, like a cutlass.
- Aerius: two glowing boomerangs.
- Terrax: massive hammer (Thor‑like) and shield.
Hydrix yelled, "Let's do this." The fight began. At first the monsters pushed them back—inexperience showed. Daniel's voice came through the watches: "Use your power. Control it with your mind, then release."
- Blaze created fire blasts which hit groups of Trinix.
- Hydrix created water waves that knocked monsters back.
- Vox brought roots which burst from the ground, trapping foes.
- Aerius gusts of wind disoriented the Trinix.
- Terrax earth barriers shielded the team.
Together they wiped out the Trinix. The main monster with sharp claws and fiery breath snarled, "You defeated my Trinix? Now face me."
It charged. Blaze slashed with his katana—no effect. The monster's blast sent the team flying. It laughed, "Weak."
Blaze rose, shouted, "We won't give up!" He sprinted, leapt, and slashed. The others joined, combining fire, water, roots, wind, earth. The monster exploded into pieces.
They celebrated, exhausted but exhilarated. Blaze felt dizzy; monster marks resurfaced. He rushed, "I'll meet you back at base. I need to handle this." He teleported home, transformed back to normal clothes, fought the urge to shift, then returned to base.
Daniel asked where he'd gone. Gabriel lied, saying he needed the bathroom. Daniel laughed, "Okay, well done."
Daniel praised them: "You're inexperienced, yet you defeated a monster. Good job, Gabriel. You didn't give up—great leader."
Gabriel simply said, "Thanks." The others felt a sting of jealousy.
Daniel added, "I'll let you go home now. Teleport to your porch, keep this secret. Never reveal the base, the watches, or your powers. If anyone sees you, there's a button that erases their memory. Understood?"
They all answered, "Yes," and teleported to their homes.
