Cherreads

Chapter 416 - Cherry Verdict

As Xin's voice fell, a massive cherry blossom tree bloomed from the center of the Hell Slaughter Arena. Even at the edges of Slaughter City, one could see the beautiful cherry Blossom World Tree.

The towering tree did not appear like ordinary vegetation—it rose as if it had grown from the concept of order itself, branching upward into the dark sky of Slaughter City. Its presence pushed back the oppressive blood-red atmosphere that had dominated the city for countless years.

The giant cherry tree shed countless cherry petals, which flew with the wind to every part of Slaughter City.

Each petal shimmered faintly with spiritual light, drifting like living embers through the corrupted air. Wherever they passed, the heavy killing intent in the environment seemed to soften, even if only slightly, as though the city itself was learning to breathe again.

When the citizens of Slaughter City heard Xin's voice and saw the sky filled with cherry blossoms, like rays of cherry light illuminating the darkness, they were all deeply moved.

Such a sight was a first in Slaughter City.

For many who had lived their entire lives under blood, fear, and survival pressure, the sudden appearance of beauty was almost unreal. Some froze in place, some reached out instinctively, and others simply stared, forgetting for a moment that this was a place called the Land of Slaughter.

"Two choices, two cherry petals."

Xin's voice continued to echo across the city.

"Actually, choosing one cherry petal means choosing the old rules, to re-establish the Slaughter King through slaughter."

His words were direct, stripping away illusion. There was no attempt to disguise the nature of the first choice—it was simply continuation of what already existed.

"And choosing two cherry petals means choosing a new possibility."

A new possibility.

That phrase alone caused countless gazes to flicker.

Not survival through killing alone—but something beyond it.

"How should we choose?"

"I choose His Excellency's disciples, I choose two cherry petals!"

"I trust the Hell Savior!"

"Everyone, choose two cherry petals! Do you hear me!"

The voices erupted almost instantly in the Hell Slaughter Arena.

The audience in the Hell Slaughter Arena made their choice first. When their fingertips touched the two cherry petals floating before them, the petals transformed into streams of light, flying towards the top of the grand cherry tree, slowly forming a number: two.

The transformation was immediate and irreversible—once chosen, the decision became part of the tree itself, as though the world was recording their will in real time.

The Slaughter Knights even rode out of the Slaughter Arena on their warhorses, galloping through the streets of Slaughter City, shouting:

"Everyone, choose two! Choose two cherry petals!"

Their voices echoed through every alley and broken street, spreading the message like a command and a hope at the same time. For the first time, the enforcers of Slaughter City were not spreading fear—but a direction.

Boom!

On this day, the entire Slaughter City was in an uproar.

Streams of cherry light flew from every corner of Slaughter City, like shooting stars, incredibly brilliant.

From rooftops, underground passages, dark taverns, and hidden corners, light began to rise. It was chaotic, uneven at first—some hesitant, some rushed—but it gradually became overwhelming, like a tide reversing its flow.

Finally, these cherry petals formed a giant character "Two" in the sky above the Hell Slaughter Arena, shimmering brightly.

There was also a character "One" made of cherry blossoms, less than a tenth of its size.

The contrast was undeniable.

Almost everyone leaped onto the rooftops of Slaughter City, gazing at this scene.

Undoubtedly, the majority of the Slaughterers chose the new order and new possibilities!

For many of them, this was not about trust alone—it was exhaustion. Exhaustion from endless killing, from paranoia, from a life where every breath could be your last. The second choice did not promise peace, but it promised structure. And in a place like Slaughter City, structure already felt like salvation.

"It seems that most of the citizens of Slaughter City do not approve of the old system. You have chosen a new possibility."

Xin inserted the Asura sword in front of him, its blade sinking into the arena floor with a faint resonance. Then he looked at his four disciples and Hu Liena, his expression calm and unreadable:

"Then, are you willing to become the kings of Slaughter City and manage its order?"

This was no longer a test of the city alone.

It was a question directed at those who stood closest to him.

This was the World they had carved out for themselves, their opportunity, and also the chance their teacher had given them.
