"Do you mean that certain individuals have the ability to scan an entire planet at will?" Osa asked, stunned.
"You acquire a unique kind of perception when you transition into the Mortal Realm," Dean explained. "Or to put it another way—when you evolve into the Mortal Realm, your perception evolves into what is known as Spiritual Sense."
"Spiritual Sense is an extremely potent ability that, depending on the hybrid's or race's power, allows them to sense not only life force but also every movement in their environment."
Osa's eyes widened. "Whoa. Back then, did you realize how spiritually perceptive that old man was?"
"Even though the old man is at the Lord level, he still falls short when compared to the Lord-level experts of my era," Dean said matter-of-factly. "I'd say his Spiritual Sense is capable of scanning a five-thousand-kilometer radius."
"That means he can see and sense more than half of Wonder Nation!" Osa exclaimed. "That's too overwhelming!"
"Indeed, he's capable of doing so. But I doubt he would even dare attempt to search any restricted area within Wonder Nation."
Osa asked in shock, "So there are still people who can threaten his life?"
"What did you think? Of course there are. Though not many—only two of them. And I believe those two are the ancestors of the Imperial Family."
"How do you know?" Osa pressed.
"Time is running out," Dean said, deflecting the question. "Now is your best chance to catch your adversary off guard."
Osa cursed under his breath. "Holy crap."
Two Hours Later
"Whoosh!"
Osa leaped onto the roof of a four-story building and peered at the vibrant structures a short distance away. Taking a deep breath, he gathered his blood aura in his legs and leaped over twenty meters, landing smoothly on another building's roof.
"Dean, are you certain that Lust King is in room 202?" Osa asked.
"Yes."
"How many hybrids are in this brothel?"
"Two. But I believe the other hybrid is a customer because he's currently at the opposite end of the building."
"Alright. Let's get this done as quickly as possible."
Osa ran across the building's rooftops, his movements swift and silent.
This brothel is divided into multiple sections, Osa thought. I'm currently in the first section, and according to Dean, Lust King is in the fifth section. If I could just hop from here to the fifth section, that would save me a ton of time.
At the end of the first section building, two guards were stationed there. Without hesitation, Osa immediately jumped down between them, grabbed their necks, and broke them with a single, brutal motion. These guards were just ordinary humans—they couldn't resist the strength of a hybrid.
As he was about to leave after killing the guards, he smelled something.
A sweet scent.
It startled him because he was certain the scent hadn't been there before. He began sniffing the air, trying to find the source, and was shocked to discover that it was coming from one of the dead guards. More specifically, from the blood dripping from the guard's nostril.
Although Osa was unsure of the reason, observing the blood spurting from the guard's nose caused his teeth to ache, as if his canines were getting longer.
"What a delicious smell," Osa muttered.
"You'll naturally find the smell of blood quite appealing," Dean said. "This is the first time you've come into contact with blood since you were turned."
"Oh, that looks pretty good. I wonder if it tastes as sweet as it smells."
Osa picked up the bleeding guard's corpse.
"Are you really going to do it?" Dean asked.
"Yes. What did you think?"
Instinctively, Osa opened his mouth and sank his teeth into the guard's neck, sucking his blood. It wasn't until the corpse became completely shriveled that Osa let go of it and moaned in pleasure.
"Dean, is this how delicious blood tastes?"
"To be more precise, you can't really benefit from the blood of common people. Only the blood of powerful beings can give you any real advantages."
Osa was ecstatic. This is incredible. Now I can't wait to devour Lust King. I wonder what kind of benefit I'll gain from him. Maybe I'll be twice as strong as I was before the fight.
Looking up at the ten-story building ahead, Osa wondered what kind of structure this was. He'd probably run across half of the brothel by now. In his own view, Grey Brothel was a combination of different stores and high-rise buildings—just like the ten-story building in front of him, which, according to Dean, was one of Lust King's personal residences.
"Dean, are you sure Lust King is in room 202?" Osa asked again.
"How many times are you going to ask me that question?" Dean snorted.
Without uttering a word, Osa channeled his blood aura into his legs and leaped toward the ten-story building's roof. With his strong legs and his blood aura supporting them, Osa was able to leap more than half the building in one bound.
Upon reaching the seventh floor, he dug his claws—which he'd accidentally learned to manifest during his training with Dean—into the brick wall. Using the brick wall as a medium, he propelled himself to the eighth floor.
When he got to the eighth floor, he didn't need Dean's guidance to locate room 202. He could already sniff a familiar scent that belonged to hybrids alone. The hybrid in Kenoly Pavilion had this scent too. He could smell it coming out of a window not too far from him. They were only separated by three windows—which wasn't a problem for Osa.
With a leap, Osa crashed into room 202 through the window, breaking the expensive glass in the process.
But when he crashed into room 202, what greeted him was a powerful punch to the face.
It felt like he'd been hit by a fast-moving car.
Before he could even process what was happening, his back crashed into the building wall, shattering it. But his momentum didn't even slightly lessen—instead, he flew out of the building, falling only after flying a few more meters.
While falling from an eight-story building wouldn't kill Osa, it could cause serious injuries if he didn't maintain balance in midair.
In a panic, Osa asked Dean, "What am I going to do now?!"
"Why are you calling me? You really are a moron," Dean scolded helplessly. "You wanted to kill a hybrid, but you created those noises. What did you expect?"
