I watched as Kade got everything ready for my impending heat. He brought extra sheets and blankets, bottles of water, a first aid kit, and brought us dinner. I thought it was a little excessive but Kade assured me that we would need everything he brought into the room and more depending on how long my first heat lasted.
"How long will this agony last?" I whimpered as another spasm of pain shot through my body.
"Most normal heat cycles can last up to three days. Yours however may last longer because you had suppressed it for so long."
"Great, can't wait." I mumbled as I drank from a bottle of water and gripped one of the pillows from the bed in my lap.
"I know this is scary and it isn't what you wanted but please trust me and let me take care of you." Kade settled beside me on the bed with a plate full of cold meats, cheese, and fresh baked bread. "Now eat, you will need your strength for what is to come."
Kade watched me and nodded in satisfaction as I devoured the food on the plate. He however opted for a glass of red viscous liquid that was defiantly not wine. I could smell the copper tang of the blood, and a small part of me was drawn to it. He smiled gently as he held the glass out for me to inspect. I sniffed it cautiously and wondered how it would taste. "Is it wrong that a part of me wants to try it?" I asked as I looked up at Kade. He chuckled as he placed the glass to my lips.
I took a small hesitant sip and when the liquid hit my tongue it exploded with flavours I could not describe. There was sweetness from the wine, and a deep flavour that felt like sunshine and life itself. That small sip sang through my veins and it took all of my willpower to not gulp down the remainder of the blood wine.
"It is not wrong to want what your body is craving." Kade's voice was a low murmur as he placed the glass on the bedside table and drew me into his arms. I nuzzled into the crook of his neck, inhaling his intoxicating scent, as I felt my body start to burn with a new wave of heat. My skin felt tight and sensitive, the fabric of my shirt a rough abrasion against my skin.
"Kade." I gasped as a wave of pure need washed over me.
"I know." He whispered as he gently lowered me onto the bed. "Let me take care of you."
My mind was a haze of need and want as the heat roared through my body. I was no longer thinking clearly, the rational part of me had been locked away and my omega was now in control. I watched as Kade slowly removed my shirt, then unbuttoned his own to show the pale skin and lean muscle that was hidden behind the expensive fabric. I licked my lips and let out a low moan as my hands explored the cool planes of his chest.
"You are so beautiful." I heard myself say. "So strong."
"And you are magnificent." He replied as he lowered his head to gently kiss my collarbone, then my shoulder, then the sensitive skin of my neck.
I arched into him as another wave of pain and pleasure washed over me. "Please Kade." I begged as I clung to him.
He captured my lips in a searing kiss, a perfect joining of fire and ice, and for the first time in my life I felt like I was safe, like I was whole. I felt a connection, a deep knowing that this was right, that this was where I was meant to be. As we kissed I could feel the bond between us strengthening, weaving itself into a bright and shining thread that connected our very souls.
His hands were cool against my heated skin, a soothing balm that eased the fire of my heat. With a practised ease he removed the rest of our clothing, leaving us bare to each other's gaze. I could feel the raw power that rolled off of him, the ancient and predatory nature of the Alpha vampire, but surprisingly it didn't scare me. Instead, it called to the wildness that was awakening inside of me, the part of me that I had locked away so deep inside myself that I had forgotten that it even existed, the part of me that was more than just a simple shifter, or human omega.
"I'm going to claim you now Riley. I'm going to taste all of you, and at the height of your pleasure I am going to mark you." His voice was a low growl as he positioned himself above me.
I could feel my heart pounding in my chest so hard that I was afraid it was going to shatter my ribs. I didn't know if it was because I was afraid or because I finally let myself want this, want to belong, want to finally be home.
I gasped when I felt Kade's tongue trace a cool wet line down my neck to my collarbone. Once he was done exploring there he moved lower and I groaned as he took one hard bud into his mouth. He sucked, bit, and explored first one then the other with a ravenous hunger that left me writhing under him.
"You don't know how long I have been waiting for this, waiting to pleasure you, to take care of you." Kade whispered as he fisted one of his hands in my hair and placed the other one on my hip.
"Please don't stop." I whimpered as I grinded my hips against him, feeling him hard and ready above me. "I need you, all of you."
"Patience my little omega, I want to taste and explore all of you first." Kade grinned as he continued to trail that oh so talented tongue down my stomach and left behind small bite marks as he went.
I could feel my own length throb with need as he explored, the wetness pooling between my thighs as my body readied itself to accept its Alpha.
I gasped as Kade placed a tender kiss on the oh so sensitive tip of my shaft before he took me into his mouth and ravished me with his tongue, licking and sucking as he tasted the most intimate part of my body.
I let out a moan as my hips moved and set a gently rhythm. "Kade I can't. I need to!" I couldn't even finish the sentence before pleasure washed over me and spilled it to Kade's mouth. The heat was sated for the moment and Kade took this time to make sure I ate, drank, and slept before the next wave of my heat appeared.
