Chapter 254: Can't Figure It Out, Can't Figure It Out

Aisaka Taiga's message was a group text. She sent the message and photos to almost all the classmates she knew, inviting everyone to come over to her house tomorrow.

Seeing Aisaka Taiga's message, Kushieda Minori asked with some concern, "Taiga, shouldn't we wait? This is only the first time it's succeeded, right?"

"Hmph! It's fine!"

Aisaka Taiga said proudly, munching on bread, "I told you, although I'm not good at cooking, bread and cakes are absolutely no problem for me! Minori, let's start the second round quickly, I want to learn how to make a real cake!"

Kushieda Minori was quite helpless, but there was nothing she could do. She could only eat some bread first, then continue to help her friend make a cake.

On the other side, Kaede and Eriri also saw the message from Aisaka Taiga.

Sitting on Kaede's lap, a freshly showered Eriri lazily said, "Why did Taiga think of making bread? And she even succeeded."

Kaede checked the time; it was already half past seven in the evening.

"She said she made it with Kushieda? I guess it only succeeded because Kushieda was there to supervise, and who knows how many times she failed before. But having the desire to learn is worth encouraging. Didn't she invite us to visit her house tomorrow? We haven't been to her place yet, so let's go take a look."

"Mhm mhm!"

Nodding, Eriri yawned again and said, "Kaede-kun, I'm not showering with you next time. I told you I still had work to do..."

Kaede was also a bit embarrassed, scratching his cheek and saying, "Uh, ahem, you can't blame me for this. After all, it takes two to tango."

"Ugh!!!"

Eriri glared at Kaede in dissatisfaction, bumping her small head against his chin, and said, "I want potato chips, feed me!"

Alright, so she wanted to be spoiled.

Kaede naturally had no problem. He grabbed the potato chips from the coffee table, opened them, and started feeding Eriri... The next day, Saturday.

After waking up lazily in the morning, Eriri whined to Kaede for a while, finally managing to skip her morning run today. Only then did she happily go to wash up.

Walking out of the room, scratching his hair, Kaede looked at the closed bathroom door, shook his head with a smile, and went to the living room, taking out two bags of cat food from the cabinet.

The two kittens were now a size larger than when they were first brought home. They had also been vaccinated and could slowly start eating a little kitten food.

Kaede and Eriri were not short on money. The cat food they bought for their three cats was the best available, ensuring they received ample nutrition.

It was just that Kaede found the smell a bit hard to accept. After all, the ingredient list seemed to include fish, making it a bit fishy.

The two kittens had now completely learned to use the litter box. They also understood that when Kaede came over with a large bag in the morning, it meant breakfast. They were even faster than their mother, Camilla, trotting to their small bowls.

"Here, here, don't rush."

First, he poured cat food for the two little ones, then for Camilla.

Compared to the two little ones, Golza and Melba, Camilla was leisurely and in no hurry at all.

He stroked Camilla's head, then looked at the two little ones. Kaede couldn't help but laugh, "Giving you these names, I wonder how people will complain about them later. Hmm... though they are indeed quite interesting."

"Meow~~"

Camilla listened to her human's monologue and couldn't help but look up at him, her big eyes revealing confusion.

Well, don't expect any "transform for me"; it's not going to happen.

After washing up and having breakfast, they played NS while petting the cats in the living room. Around 10 o'clock, Eriri called Aisaka Taiga to confirm she was awake. Only then did she and Kaede leave, arriving at Aisaka Taiga's apartment downstairs.

Aisaka Taiga's apartment was on the first floor, which was why she could easily get from her room window to Takasu Ryuji's house next door.

After ringing the doorbell, Aisaka Taiga quickly opened the door.

"Good morning! You're the first to arrive!"

"Excuse us." x2

After changing into slippers and entering, Kaede and Eriri saw the interior of Aisaka Taiga's apartment for the first time.

The general structure was similar to their home, except for slight differences in room arrangement due to the apartment being on one side or the other.

However, besides that, there was one very significant difference: the sense of lived-in warmth.

After moving into their new home, Kaede and Eriri, in addition to the furniture they bought initially, would occasionally buy things to decorate the house. After all this time, both the living room and bedroom now looked very different from when they first moved in.

But Aisaka Taiga's place... how to put it? It directly reminded Kaede and Eriri of how it felt when they first viewed the apartment.

The living room was so big, with an unbelievably sparse amount of items.

A sofa, a television, and a dining table; besides these, there was nothing else, which was why it appeared so empty.

Coupled with Aisaka Taiga living alone, it naturally became devoid of a lived-in feel over time. It was a wonder how Aisaka Taiga got used to it and never bothered to decorate.

In the living room, besides Aisaka Taiga, Kushieda Minori, who had stayed overnight, was also there.

After exchanging greetings, the four sat down. Eriri curiously asked, "Taiga, you're not going to just eat the cake you made for lunch today, are you?"

"Hehe, no way! Ryuji will make lunch!"

...Takasu Ryuji, always the handyman.

Just as they were speaking, the doorbell rang.

Aisaka Taiga went to open the door, and it was indeed Takasu Ryuji, carrying two large bags of groceries.

"Oh! Asakura and Sawamura, you're here too, and Kushieda, good morning." After greeting them, Takasu Ryuji quickly raised his right hand, preventing Aisaka Taiga from pulling open the bags he was holding, "Don't mess with them! It'll be bad if they spill!"

"Let me see what you bought quickly, I paid for this!"

"Seriously, you're hosting, can't you buy it yourself?"

"It's because you said I only buy snacks, so I just left it to you to handle!"

Watching the two of them bicker as they headed towards the kitchen, Eriri subtly glanced at Kaede.

Kaede naturally understood what Eriri meant. He peeked at Kushieda Minori on the other side, noticing that her expression hadn't changed; instead, she was happily watching the two of them.

Hmm~~~ What exactly is going on? It's a bit confusing.
