Chapter 269: So delicious.jpg
Observing Eriri's face, Utaha said, "Both you and Asakura-kun have good looks, so your future children will definitely be very cute. I just hope they can be a bit well-behaved. Although I don't dislike children, I've encountered my relatives' little brats during New Year's in the past few years, and their noisy personalities are really a headache."
"That's true, noisy children are quite troublesome."
Eriri nodded in agreement, "But I'm not too worried, after all, both my family and Kaede-kun's family have pretty good upbringing."
As if on cue, while the two were talking about children, a woman pushing a stroller came into the store with a friend to shop.
Coincidentally, they came over to where Eriri and Utaha were.
Seeing the baby in the stroller, with rosy cheeks, both Eriri and Utaha's eyes lit up.
"Wow! So cute!"
Eriri put down the clothes in her hand and walked straight over, squatting down in front of the little one.
The baby's mother was also quite young, looking to be in her twenties, young and beautiful. She clearly hadn't expected Eriri to come over, but seeing that Eriri was a very pretty girl, she wasn't annoyed and watched the scene with a smile on her face with her friend.
The little one was sleeping. After looking for a bit, Eriri stood up and said to the baby's mother, "Your little one is so cute!"
"Thank you!"
Her child being praised made the woman very happy, and she replied.
Utaha slowly walked over and said with a smile, "Looking at you, I guess you'll probably want children as soon as you're old enough."
"Uh... no way, at least after graduating college!"
The young mother heard their conversation and said with a smile, "Although children are very cute after they're born, pregnancy is still very tiring and hard, and the time right after giving birth is also very hard."
"It does sound very hard..."
Eriri imagined herself with a big belly, and she couldn't help but shiver, "Wow, I'm a little scared now."
Seeing this, Utaha gave her a playful tap on the head and said, "Why are you suddenly scared? Weren't you thinking pretty nicely just now?"
"I wasn't thinking anything!"
"Really?" Utaha narrowed her eyes and said, "Then later this afternoon, when Asakura-kun finishes work and comes back, should I tell him?"
"Are you serious?"
"No."
Utaha smiled and also squatted down, carefully looking at the baby in the stroller.
After a brief exchange, Eriri and Utaha bid farewell to the woman with the baby and left the store.
Walking towards the next store, Eriri was still muttering, "Ah~~ that baby was really cute. She was sleeping, so I wonder what she looks like when she wakes up and babbles."
"You're so indecisive."
"Of course not!" Eriri said righteously, "My liking for babies and my fear of the pain of childbirth are not in conflict!"
"I'm done with you."
"Hehe, let's not talk about that. There's a men's clothing store over there, hurry and come with me to check it out!" Saying that, Eriri pulled Utaha and walked towards the men's clothing store in their sight.
...Are you really going to buy it?
"When did you get the impression that I was just saying it casually?"
Eriri looked at Utaha and said, "I already told you, Kaede-kun doesn't have many formal clothes in his wardrobe. Although I bought a few pieces before, it's still not enough. For example, at the end of the year, our family will still hold a banquet, and Kaede-kun will also come, so he definitely needs suitable clothes. However... for that, it's better to have them custom-made."
Utaha suddenly felt that going shopping with Eriri early in the morning for a mere meal might have been a bit of a loss.
It wasn't until she returned to the apartment at noon, chewing on the braised pork Eriri made, that Utaha's morning's gloom completely vanished.

Next time something like this happens, remember to call me again.
Utaha said to let Eriri have free rein, as long as she didn't make Japanese food. The main reason was that when she was at home, her mother always made Japanese food, and no matter how delicious it was, she would get a little tired of it. Since Eriri said she could order whatever she wanted, she might as well try a different flavor.
And Eriri also showed off her skills, making Chinese dishes that she had been learning recently, with braised pork being one of them.
Utaha had actually eaten Chinese food a few times in restaurants in the past, but as everyone knows, it's super difficult to find authentic Chinese food in restaurants in other countries. The Chinese food Utaha had eaten before was mostly adapted to local tastes; perhaps only the taste of Mapo Tofu was somewhat close.
As for Eriri, she had received a cookbook that Asakura Reiko, her future mother-in-law, had kept for many years. The cookbook contained many of Asakura Reiko's recipes, naturally including many authentic Chinese dishes.
Although the learning difficulty was not small, Eriri's foundation was already well-laid, and she had already learned some. She could just make them for Utaha to taste before the dinner party tonight, to test her current skill level.
After dinner, putting the dishes into the dishwasher, Eriri came and sat on the sofa, asking a dazed Utaha, "How's my cooking?"
Utaha's answer was, "It's delicious, surprisingly delicious, especially the braised pork. It's the first time I've realized that pork belly can be so tasty besides grilled meat. I just feel like I'll have to do an extra half hour of yoga when I get home..."
"Hehe, I don't think it's just half an hour." Eriri said proudly, "Don't forget the dinner party tonight, I still have many dishes I haven't shown off yet!"
"..."
Upon hearing this, Utaha instinctively wanted to escape from here. Her figure was already on the fuller side, and she wasn't the type who wouldn't gain weight no matter how much she ate.
She estimated that after two meals today, her weight would be concerning.
Although she really wanted to escape, savoring the dishes she had just eaten, and Eriri also saying that she had more dishes she hadn't shown off, Utaha's hidden foodie soul simply couldn't be suppressed.
"Oh no, for the next few days, I'll just eat simply..."
And Eriri, naturally, raised her head and puffed out her chest with satisfaction, taking a sip of tea.
"Hmph, I'm telling you, I've only studied less than a third of Aunt Reiko's cookbook so far. My cooking skills will definitely improve even further in the future!"
"You, did you put your skill points in the wrong place? You're supposed to be an artist!"
"Oh right, speaking of that, I forgot to send the photos."
With that, Eriri took out her phone and sent the photos she had taken after making lunch to her social media account.
