Chapter 342: Method of Counterattack
While discussing the next day's itinerary, the two came out of the bathroom with their hair dry. They didn't linger in the living room and went straight to the bedroom.
Snuggling under the covers, Eriri found a comfortable angle to lean against Kaede's arms and started searching on her phone.
"Mhm mhm, our luck is pretty good; the weather will be great for the next week. Kaede-kun, after we wake up tomorrow morning, let's go to Chiba Park first? There are old buildings to see there."
"Chiba Castle? Although it's not very famous, it should still be quite interesting." Recalling, Kaede said, "It seems we haven't really explored parks much, have we?"
"That's right! The only lively time I remember was when we went cherry blossom viewing with everyone around this time last year. After that, at most we'd just pass by some small parks. And then, we went to the zoo, but that's not the same thing."
Scrolling through information about Chiba Park on her phone, Eriri nodded: "Hmm, it's decided, we'll go to Chiba Park. There seems to be good food nearby too, so we don't have to worry about not having a place to eat after exploring. Oh, Kaede-kun, it's been a day already, should we post something on Twitter again?"
"No need, right?"
Taking out his phone and logging into Twitter, Kaede saw that it was still quite lively; the news about him and Eriri was still trending.
"Let's wait until tomorrow. We'll post something, but just don't say where we are."
"I thought so too. If they knew where we were, those reporters would definitely track us down. Even if we've already contacted them and they won't block us, they will definitely take candid photos, as similar things have happened many times."
Reporters, huh... they really are that kind of people.
The professional ones definitely wouldn't block them, but hiding in some dark corner to snap a few photos, even if they didn't use them themselves, selling them to tabloid media could still earn them a lot.
Paparazzi, that's the most troublesome thing.
Shaking his head, Kaede smiled and said, "Never mind, let's not think about that. Let's play some games and then rest. We've been out all afternoon."
"Mhm mhm."
Eriri took out the NS she had prepared earlier and asked with some anticipation, "Kaede-kun, when we went upstairs earlier, I saw a hotel brochure that mentioned there's a bar-like place on the top floor. Can we go check it out tomorrow?"
"Eh?"
Kaede was startled, not expecting Eriri to have noticed that. When they returned to the hotel earlier, he had indeed seen a signboard in the lobby on the first floor; it seemed to be a rather upscale, quiet bar-like place.
"This... it seems people our age aren't allowed to go, are they?"
"What's the big deal? We're customers, so why can't we go?"
Eriri shook her head and insisted, "Anyway, if we don't drink, there's no harm in just going to check it out, right?"
That reasoning made sense.
Kaede thought about it and finally nodded in agreement: "If it were outside, I definitely wouldn't agree, but since it's inside this hotel, I can let you go take a look. But promise me, you absolutely cannot drink, understand?"
"I know, I know!!!"
Eriri nodded her small head very quickly, then whispered, "But it's not like I haven't had red wine and champagne at home..."
Kaede heard her and lightly tapped Eriri's forehead, saying exasperatedly, "Is at home the same as outside?"
"Ugh... don't hit my head, I'll get stupid!!!"
...The second day of their vacation in Chiba.
Perhaps because she was sleeping in a hotel, even though the bed was soft and comfortable, Eriri still woke up very early.
She picked up her phone from the bedside table and checked the time; it was only seven in the morning.
"Ugh... so early."
Because they didn't have work last night and played games for a while, the two went to bed early before eleven.
Turning to look at Kaede, and finding that he was still sound asleep, the now-awake Eriri revealed a mischievous smile. She took a small strand of her golden hair and extended it to Kaede's nose, beginning to tickle him.
In just a few moments, Kaede felt uncomfortable, and his facial expression began to twist.
Then he moved his head and suddenly woke up.
Opening his eyes, Kaede saw Eriri, close by, sleeping with her eyes closed.
"..."
Squinting, Kaede thought, you're really good at faking it, do you think I can't tell?
However, Kaede wouldn't use Eriri's method. He had his own way of counterattacking, and it was much more potent than merely making Eriri feel ticklish.
Slowly leaning closer to Eriri, Kaede gently kissed Eriri's lips, once, then again, slowly caressing them.
Although his movements were very gentle, the effect was clearly outstanding, directly causing the temperature on Eriri's face, who had been feigning sleep, to suddenly rise.
Reaching out to push against Kaede's chest, Eriri opened her eyes and said shyly, "Kaede-kun, it's so early in the morning..."
"This is your punishment, and we went to bed early last night, so leaving it for the morning isn't bad, right?"
"Ugh..."
Afterward, it was naturally a thrilling morning workout.
This resulted in the planned trip to Chiba Park being delayed by nearly an hour and a half, and it was already ten o'clock when the two of them arrived.
Upon entering the park, Eriri slapped Kaede's arm in dissatisfaction: "We clearly could have come earlier. This timing is so awkward; we'll have to leave right when it's time for lunch."
"Well, it's just a park. We'll just look at the interesting spots. Let's go." Kaede said carelessly, taking Eriri's small hand and starting to walk around the park.
Although Chiba Park was not particularly famous, the internal greenery was very well maintained.
Especially since it was spring, walking inside gave them a feeling of comfort and relaxation.
They walked around until twelve noon before finally leaving the park and finding a yakiniku restaurant for lunch.
Picking up a piece of beef tongue that Kaede had grilled for her, Eriri sent it into her mouth with a beaming smile.
"Mmmmmm~~~ The beef tongue is delicious! Kaede-kun, don't keep grilling, let me help you grill so you can eat too!"
Saying this, she reached for the tongs Kaede was using to flip the meat.
Kaede smiled and shook his head, saying, "You eat first. I saved some for myself too. Besides, in my opinion, grilling the meat is also a kind of fun."
"Hmm... Really? I, for one, prefer eating."
Seeing that Kaede disagreed, Eriri could only continue eating. Since they had ordered a lot of food, there was no need to worry.
