The main reason they were able to discover this town was that they were anomalies themselves. The two did not need to be said, and Ayen was obviously in the same league, although his real rank had yet to be measured.
So, when Khal had noticed a mana disturbance, it was the town itself. He only realized this late, though.
"Can we still leave?"
Upon hearing that the abandoned town had been cut off from the real world, Ayen focused on this fact. Could they still leave?
The two suddenly glanced at him; Ayen was bewildered by their gazes.
"What?" Was something wrong with what he asked?
Khal and Devion shook their heads and smiled. Devion ruffled Ayen's hair.
"Nothing. But your first concern is so cute."
Ayen could have asked about more dangerous matters; after all, they were standing in a possibly forbidden zone. Yet, he focused on asking whether they could still leave.
Of course, it was extremely valid, but it was still cute.
Ayen furrowed his brows; he fixed his messy hair.
