"My marriage to Catalina was a sham," Julian said quietly. "It was just a one-year contract to please my father. At that time, I couldn't remember you because of the accident."
Lyvana felt her heart skip a beat. The anger in her chest started to melt into confusion.
"So... you really had an accident? You truly lost your memories?" she asked.
Julian nodded. "Yes, I did."
then he stepped even closer, placing one hand against the wall right beside her head, effectively locking her in place.
The move made her breath hitch in her throat. She was trapped between the cold wall and the heat of his body.
He leaned in until his face was only inches from hers. She could smell his expensive cologne and the faint scent of the drink he'd had earlier.
"Lyvana, I am yours and no one else's. My heart has belonged to you since the very first day we met. I should've fought harder too remember... but baby am here now. And I'm not going anywhere."
