Chapter 273: Kamuro Masumi: I've Been Threatened! I Have No Choice But to Agree to His Harem
A Student Council office. All six classes of the Red Team were gathered here.
Ryuen Kakeru of Class 1-D was the first to speak.
"Vice President Nagumo, this proposal is quite interesting. You're saying you want me and Class 1-A to specifically assign people to target Shimizu Akira during this Sports Festival?"
"Correct. That is exactly the effect I'm looking for." Nagumo Miyabi smiled, looking at Ryuen with a hint of appreciation.
"It's great that Ryuen-kun understands my intentions immediately."
For some reason, Nagumo felt a kinship with this kouhai. Perhaps it was because when he mentioned targeting Class 1-C, Ryuen was the first to openly express agreement.
"And the reason?" Sakayanagi Arisu of Class 1-A asked calmly, lightly tapping her cane. Her striking silver hair caught Nagumo's eye.
They had met before at a cafe where she had completely ignored his advances, leaving him fuming.
Having looked into her background, he knew she was the Chairman's daughter with a congenital heart condition—a woman he couldn't "touch" in any sense of the word.
Nagumo's gaze drifted to the girl standing beside Sakayanagi—a cute kouhai with long, straight purple hair and notably long legs (Kamuro Masumi). However, ever since he proposed targeting Shimizu, she had been looking at him with clear disgust. She was even playing on her phone during the meeting.
'Wait... could she be one of Shimizu's people too?'
Nagumo quickly dismissed the thought. He had seen Shimizu on a date with a beauty like Ichinose Honami; surely he hadn't claimed this one as well.
She was probably just in a bad mood.
Since she was cute and under the Chairman's daughter, he let the phone-playing slide. This was a chance to build "favorability," and beautiful girls deserved special treatment, after all.
"The Red Team and White Team are rivals," Nagumo responded with a smile.
"In the first year, Classes B and C are your rivals. But in terms of actual threats, there is only Shimizu Akira. I've watched your first two special exams. The final results changed entirely because of him. I've seen him box with my own eyes; if you suppress him, the others are no threat."
Just then, a fragile-looking girl beside Ryuen raised her hand.
"Vice President Nagumo, this meeting seems centered on the first-years. What about the second and third-years?"
Nagumo's eyes lit up. This was Shiina Hiyori. She also had silver hair, but unlike Sakayanagi's sharpness, she had the quiet, serene aura of a "literature girl." Because she was polite, Nagumo turned confidently to his side.
"Fujimaki-senpai, with the President leading the third-years, surely we'll take an overwhelming first place?"
"Indeed, I have full confidence in the President," Fujimaki nodded steadily. As for the third-year Class D, Nagumo's investigation showed many athletic students. President Horikita Manabu hadn't attended, choosing to spend every second training—a trait Nagumo admired.
"As for the second year... it's even less of a concern." A confident smile appeared on Nagumo's face. "The entire second year is already under my control." The tens of millions of points he held were "tributes" from the four classes. Strictly speaking, not everyone was submissive—like Kiriyama Ikuto of Class B, who seemed to have ambitions for the Presidency. But Nagumo planned to neutralize him with a hollow Vice President title and a promised slot in Class A next month.
Then there was Kiryuin Fuuka, who never showed him any respect. He didn't move against her, not just because she was beautiful, but because she was the only student in school with double A+ ratings in both Athletics and Academics.
However, she was a loner with no popularity or influence in her class, so he treated her like air.
"Since the second and third-year Red Teams have an overwhelming advantage, the Red Team should win even if we leave the first-year Class C alone, right?"
Sakayanagi's voice was light, but it pierced the core of the issue.
"Vice President Nagumo... I get the feeling your reason for targeting Shimizu-kun isn't entirely for the sake of the Red Team."
Nagumo froze. She was right.
The Red Team's victory was a foregone conclusion.
His obsession with Shimizu came from his irritation at the President's favoritism toward the boy, plus the lure of the 3 million points that he felt belonged to him.
But he couldn't admit that.
"Because I don't seek a narrow victory," Nagumo replied with a practiced, infectious smile.
"I seek an absolute, crushing victory! A perfect result where the Red Team leads in every year and every event. That is the strength of our team, and my 'winning formula' as commander."
He waited for looks of admiration, but Sakayanagi let out a soft laugh.
"Vice President, this isn't your election speech. No need for the fluff. If you want to target Class C, just say it. Why the act?"
Nearby students lowered their heads, their shoulders shaking as they suppressed laughter. Nagumo's temper flared, but he couldn't explode. He was running for President, and Sakayanagi was a "fragile princess." If he caused her a heart attack, the responsibility would be his. He forced a stiff smile.
"Sakayanagi-kun, you misunderstand. These are my sincere feelings."
"Fine, fine. You're the Vice President, the commander, the senpai. You're always right," she dismissed him mockingly.
"I'm just a first-year kouhai; what can I say?"
Nagumo was fuming.
Is she always this arrogant? Just because her father is the Chairman?'
Combined with her sickly body, she was a "brat" that no one could retaliate against.
"In that case, how do you plan to target Shimizu?" Ryuen asked.
"Do you have Class C's participation roster?"
"No," Nagumo denied immediately. As Vice President, he didn't have the authority to leak such documents, and doing so would leave a trail.
"No?" Ryuen looked bored.
"Then what do you expect us to do? Wait for random luck to pair us with him?"
"Heh, you've forgotten the 10,000-meter run," Nagumo smiled.
"Shimizu promised the President he'd participate. Every class sends five people; that's 60 runners. On a crowded track, who can accurately monitor every little 'accident' that happens during a long race?"
"Oh? Now that's interesting." Ryuen's signature malicious grin appeared. He understood. They were going to play dirty during the marathon.
"Alright! I've said my piece. I'm sure you all know what to do." Nagumo adjourned the meeting.
.
.
.
Eventually, only Sakayanagi, Kamuro, Ryuen, Hiyori, and the silent Albert Yamada remained.
"Shiina-san, long time no see," Sakayanagi greeted the silver-haired girl warmly.
"Good afternoon, Sakayanagi-san."
"Will you be participating in the festival?"
"With my stamina, I'd just be a burden. Ryuen-kun let me abstain. I'll be watching from the sidelines."
"How lucky. Just like me. It seems we can sit and watch the show together again, just like during the boxing match."
"Yes. Shall I prepare snacks? What do you like?"
"Fufu, I'll stick to coffee, as usual."
"You two really know how to enjoy yourselves, treating this like a TV show," Ryuen snorted. He was annoyed.
Why were they so close? And why was it related to that boxing match again?
Everything came back to Shimizu Akira.
"So, Ryuen-kun, what do you think of the Vice President's 'high-minded' speech?" Sakayanagi asked.
"Pure nonsense," Ryuen replied instantly.
"He doesn't care about Class C; he just wants to screw over Shimizu. He's hyper-focused on the 10km run because he wants to use us to stop Shimizu from getting a high rank. The rumors are true: Nagumo has a weird obsession with President Horikita and is probably eyeing those 3 million points."
"Fufu, good judgment. I heard those 3 million were originally part of the 10 million Nagumo gave the President. He's just trying to get his money back," Sakayanagi added.
"Your Class A moves fast too," Ryuen grinned.
"I heard you're crushing Class B head-on."
"And what about Class D's move against Class C? Today is the deadline. If you haven't gotten the roster... I bet you're targeting Yamauchi Haruki," Sakayanagi countered.
"Hmph. You're well-informed." Ryuen didn't deny it. His plan was to find a crack within Class C. Yamauchi, who had been ostracized after the VIP exam, was the perfect tool.
"That guy took 200,000 points from me for nothing. No one takes my points without paying a price."
.
.
.
As the D-Team left, Hiyori bid Sakayanagi a gentle farewell.
"I didn't think you had friends," Kamuro muttered once they were alone.
"Shiina-san is a good candidate," Sakayanagi smiled.
"She's a clever detective and very cute. More importantly, we met as 'victims' because of Shimizu-kun."
"Victims?" Kamuro looked confused.
"Oh? Shimizu-kun didn't tell you?" Sakayanagi blinked innocently.
"He's the one who played all four classes during the first month by renting out the surveillance cameras. I also heard you've been 'lending' him points for months. How strange! Why give 'pocket money' to someone who has ten times more than you? You're a bit of a clown, Kamuro-san."
"What?!" Kamuro froze. Her eyes widened in shock, then blazed with fury.
"Shimizu Akira, you're dead!" She stormed out of the room.
"Fufu..." Sakayanagi smiled. She knew Kamuro was going to see Shimizu anyway—why else had the girl recorded Nagumo's speech on her phone? She just decided to add some fuel to the fire.
"They've known each other since day one. It's time to push them to the next stage."

Shimizu was enjoying tonkatsu rice when his phone buzzed. It was Kamuro.
Kamuro: Shimizu Akira! You're something else! You lied to me again!
Kamuro: You have all those points and you acted poor in front of me? You must be laughing your head off!
Kamuro: Drop everything. Go to your dorm and reflect. I'll be there in 10 minutes. If you haven't figured out what you did wrong, I'm going to destroy you!
The killing intent was palpable.
'Again?'
Shimizu realized Sakayanagi must have leaked the "surveillance camera" secret.
Shimizu to Arisu: Your doing again?
Arisu: Yes, it was me. Intentional this time. But don't you think you're in the wrong? I thought she knew already.
Shimizu sighed.
She was right. He should have told Kamuro about his points a long time ago.
Shimizu to Arisu: You're right. It's my fault. I should have told her.
Arisu: Fufu, as honest as ever. Don't worry, she isn't that mad. Just comfort her. We're both very good to her; she won't truly punish you.
'Who is 'we'?' Shimizu wondered.
'Do you really think you're good to her, Arisu?'
He sent a sincere apology text to Suzune, Ichinose, Kei, Sakura, and his close friends, admitting to the camera rental scheme.
He didn't care about the secret anymore—after the island and the VIP exam, his cover was already blown.
.
.
.
He rushed back to his dorm, barely finishing his meal. Moments later, a heavy pounding hit his door.
Kamuro stormed in, sat on his bed with her arms crossed, and glared.
"About the cameras... I was wrong," Shimizu started. "I should have told you I had over 10 million points."
"Do you know I was thinking about giving you my points to spend?!" Kamuro huffed.
"And here you are with ten million? I was the only one worrying like an idiot?"
"I'm sorry. I won't hide things like this again. I'll accept any punishment."
Kamuro stared at him, checking his sincerity. She relaxed slightly.
"At least you have a conscience. But next time, I won't let you off easy."
'She said the same thing last time—her "punishments" were always empty threats'
"That's it? No other punishment?"
Kamuro rolled her eyes.
"Fine. For the next month, no touching! No hands, no feet, nothing. Whether I end the ban early depends on your behavior. No more rubbing my black stockings or touching my feet. I
ruin a pair of stockings every time I come here; it's too expensive for you to get all the benefits for free!"
Shimizu glanced at her legs. She was wearing black stockings today.
A month? That was harsh. But he liked just talking to her, too.
"Now, tell me the truth," Kamuro's eyes sharpened as she grabbed his ear and pulled hard. "Which girls do you want as your girlfriends? Lie and you'll never touch my legs again!"
"You, Kushida Kikyo, Horikita Suzune, and Ichinose Honami," Shimizu answered instantly. Lying would only make it worse.
"Four?! You're trying to build a literal harem!" Kamuro pulled harder, turning his ear red.
"Who taught you this?! Your old self would never have thought of this!"
"No one taught me. It's my own wish," Shimizu winced. "But I don't intend to neglect any of you."
Kamuro kicked his leg a few times in frustration.
"Go. Make me a hot cocoa. Two spoons of sugar."
Shimizu went to the kitchen. When he returned, she pointed to the floor.
"Push-ups. Old rules." But as he started, she sat on his back. "Do them right. Not one less."
She thought he'd collapse after 50. But fifteen minutes later, he was past 200 with a steady back. Finally, she sighed.
"Hey... you have to make time for a date with me every week, okay?"
"Eh?" Shimizu stopped. "You... you're agreeing to the harem?"
"What else can I do?" Kamuro stood up, looking defeated.
"You're so deep-thinking you pulled off that camera scam. Even on the first day at the convenience store... you bought that beer I 'stole' beforehand, didn't you? You always have a back-up plan. If I say no, you'll probably threaten me with my 'shoplifting' record. Plus, you have 20 million points and Yamamura told me you're staying in this class to spend them on me.
Even that fortuneteller was right... I don't want to hear you say 'Kamuro-san, you don't want to be expelled, do you?' someday."
She sighed, looking resigned.
"Instead of being threatened, I guess I have to accept this ridiculous demand."
Shimizu jumped up, eyes shining with surprise.
"Kamuro, are you serious? Not a joke?"
Kamuro shoved the empty cocoa mug into his hands.
"Test? I just want to test if your IQ is still above passing! Don't get ahead of yourself. I said I'm 'forced' to agree, not that I'm happy!"
She crossed her arms and announced her terms:
Fixed date times set by her. Changes require 24-hour notice and her approval. Don't mention other girls unless she asks. No lying. If he neglects her or makes her sad, she revokes the agreement and unleashes her "fury."
Shimizu nodded vigorously, his eyes bright.
"Understood! Thank you, Kamuro... no, Masumi."
Her cheeks flushed at the name.
"Hmph... fine. I'm thirsty. Get me some water. Warm."
As he ran to the kitchen, Kamuro sat back on the bed. A tiny smile she couldn't hide tugged at the corner of her mouth.
She told herself she was only doing this because he "threatened" her and held all the cards. It had nothing to do with how much he liked her or how he'd saved millions of points just to ensure her safety.
'Yes' she thought.
'I'm purely being threatened. It has nothing to do with me caring about him. Not at all!'
