(Mirael's Pov)
I sat in Master Aerynthar's study, staring at the table. He had left me with a whole pile of questions, and I was already almost done.
He used to give me such hard puzzles that my brain felt like it was doing backflips, but lately? It's like he thinks I've forgotten how to think!
I flipped the page and looked at the last two questions.
In a triangle, two angles are 45° and 55°. Find the third angle.
"Hmm... too easy," I whispered to the empty room. Triangles always add up to 180°. I grabbed my quill and let the ink flow across the paper.
45° + 55° = 100°
180° − 100° = 80°
I drew a neat little box around 80°. Done! Then I looked at the very last one. This one wasn't about numbers; it was one of those "Master" questions that felt more like a riddle.
"If two sides want the same outcome but don't trust each other, what forces cooperation?"
