Rhaegor cuts through the air, banking in a massive, elegant circle over the palace spires like a giant crimson eagle. The wind whips past us, carrying the crisp scent of the high altitude.
"Whoaa!!!!" Kiro shouts, his cat ears pinned back against the wind as he peers over the edge, Kael holding onto his collar with careful, absolute precision. "We are so incredibly high in the sky!!"
Mirael puffs her chest out, completely in her element. "See? I told you it's amazing! Not scary at all!"
I smile, watching the kids absolutely lose themselves in the joy of the ride. But when I glance beside me, my smile instantly drops. Elin is kneeling on the scales, clutching her stomach with both hands, her face a horrific shade of pale green as she tries desperately not to puke.
"Elin, are you sure you are alright?" I ask, leaning over her.
She nods weakly, her eyes watering. "Y... yes, your... blugh... Your Highness!"
"You really don't look okay to me," I say, wincing.
