"Did you understand everything, dear?" I ask, giving the giant greenhouse ventilation system one last check.
Kiro is standing right beside Mirael, his ears twitching with intense focus as I show them exactly how to operate the stopcock to turn the water flow on and off.
"Yes! Big Sister, it's so easy!" Mirael beams, throwing her hands up. "I'll do my absolute best to look after it!"
"Good girl!" I smile, affectionately patting her head.
Kiro looks up at me, his eyes practically shining with hero worship. "Princess Cyrina... you are just so cool! You always make the most amazing, magica less things!"
My heart completely melts. I give him a warm, proud grin. "Yeah? Don't you worry, Kiro. I am going to bring those water pipes to your territory soon. I'm just a little tied up with the tempest aftermath and other royal stuff right now, but wait for me, okay?"
Kiro nods happily, his tail swishing behind him.
