"I didn't, my lady. I never leave your side," Kael says smoothly, his face a mask of absolute innocence. Then, with a subtle, sharp flick of his eyes, he signals directly toward Grandpa.
Grandpa catches Kael secretly tossing him under the carriage and chuffs loudly. "I also did not tell Her Majesty about the duel, child! I only informed her of the official details regarding your stay at Karag-Thul."
"Then who snitched, huh?! Who else is betraying me?!" I step forward, poking an accusing finger in the air between them.
