(Mirael's POV)
As we step fully into the courtyard of Lord Morvain's mansion, he walks right up to us. He looks down at me, and then at Kiro standing beside me, his nose wrinkling like we are completely filthy.
But the miss knight beside me immediately steps into his path, her hand resting firmly on her sword hilt. "Stop right there, Trade Lord Morvain! By direct order of Her Imperial Consort, you are not allowed anywhere near Young Lady Mirael or her friend, and you have been strictly forbidden from interacting with her."
Lord Morvain clicks his tongue in annoyance, rolling his eyes. Without a word, he just turns his back on us and walks over to his workers, barking orders at them at the top of his lungs.
Kiro presses himself close to my side as both messenger knights lead us toward the stairs leading down into the basement where the giant fridge is located. That's where Big Sister Elena and Master Aerynthar are supposed to be.
