Chapter 216 - Ch 216: Crown Prince of Property Damage

Ronan. A rising star among the Kree Accusers.

Proclaimed by many as the future strongest Accuser in the empire's history. Graduated with honors in every discipline.

And most importantly, he had perfectly inherited the qualities the Kree valued above all else.

Warlike. Warlike. Warlike.

Violent. Violent. Violent.

If a matter could be resolved through force, Ronan would never consider a second option.

If a matter couldn't be resolved through force, he would apply more force until it could.

His entire promotion path had been carved through sheer brutality. Battle by battle.

Skull by skull.

He had earned every supporter through blood.

Now.

The Supreme Intelligence processed the scene before it.

Ronan the rising star, the future strongest, had just achieved liftoff without a ship.

Mjolnir had introduced itself to his face with devastating enthusiasm.

He soared more than ten meters skyward before gravity reclaimed him, introducing his spine to the ground with equal enthusiasm.

The impact crater was perfectly Ronan-shaped.

Inside lay Ronan himself, face frozen in an expression of profound bewilderment.

Wh... what?

Sky. He was looking at sky. Why was he looking at sky?

Everything was pain.

Nothing moved except his eyeballs, and they moved a lot, darting frantically as his consciousness tried to process the impossible.

Oh.

Right.

Hammer.

Garfield studied the thoroughly flattened Ronan with professional appreciation.

"Truly a ten-out-of-ten sledgehammer technique. Magnificent form."

"I wonder if my Little Hammer could achieve similar results..."

Thor, immensely pleased with himself, pointed Mjolnir at the Kree fleet scrambling to surround them.

"I, Thor Odinson Prince of Asgard warn you once, Earth stands under our protection."

"You dared conduct experiments on its people. You dared provoke the dignity of Asgard."

"Hereby, on behalf of my realm, I declare divine punishment upon you! "

An unfamiliar Accuser, some functionary, clearly not of Ronan's caliber stepped forward.

He glanced at Ronan's twitching form, ordered medics to scrape him off the pavement, then addressed Thor with the confidence of someone who had never been hit by a divine hammer.

"Prince of Asgard. Asgard is legend. Nothing more. You, outsider have attacked an Accuser. That is a capital offense."

He gestured.

Soldiers raised weapons. Warships powered cannons.

Fire converged on Thor, Garfield, Loki, and Angela.

"ACCEPT YOUR PUNISHMENT."

Thor raised Mjolnir.

The sky screamed as electricity arced in blinding cascades.

Kree soldiers, those not instantly reduced to slag found themselves regretting every life choice that had led to this moment.

Mjolnir flew again.

It met the new Accuser's skull with the enthusiasm of a reunion between old friends.

The Accuser's skull, unfortunately, had not been invited to this reunion.

Eighty percent of his brains immediately sought new storage solutions. The remaining twenty percent had nothing left to store.

Two Accusers hit with same hammer.

The Supreme Intelligence finally abandoned restraint. It mobilized every high-combat asset on the planet.

It summoned fleets from the two nearest star systems. It calculated probabilities, trajectories, and privately its own odds of survival.

Thor launched skyward, cackling with battle-joy. Warships bloomed around him like metal flowers.

He smashed through them one by one.

Mjolnir pierced outer armor as easily as paper. Internal structures crumpled. Power systems failed.

The first battleship fell from the sky.

It landed directly on a cluster of Kree soldiers who had been firing at Loki.

They became very flat, very papery silhouettes beneath several thousand tons of molten metal.

Then the power core detonated.

The explosion flattened thirty meters of ground level. The shockwave spread across eighty meters.

What remained of the soldiers was... theoretically somewhere in the debris.

Garfield, observing from a safe distance, nodded approvingly.

As a mage, one understood the importance of not standing where the battle was happening.

He raised a protective shield around the Odinson family, not that they needed it, but someone had to be responsible, then floated behind Loki, watching his brother work.

Loki's daggers flashed.

They were peculiar things, reminiscent of the strange weapons Hela would later conjure in another timeline.

They pierced Kree armor effortlessly. They dropped soldiers with surgical precision.

They also brought down small warships when thrown with sufficient enthusiasm.
