Chapter 342 - GAM Ch 342: Ministry of Magic Does Absolutely Nothing

Looking at the teacup reduced to dust, Dumbledore confirmed just how powerful the ring truly was.

Garfield explained, "I infused some of my divine power into this. The amount is limited, so use it carefully. Of course, if you run out, you can recharge it, but it costs money. And you probably can't afford to charge it, after all, it's divine power."

Dumbledore asked, "Then consider it a debt. Remember to report to me after you die."

"Only demons want human souls, right?"

"An orange cat would work too. After all, cats are the geometric shape of angels and devils. They can be cute angels for you to pet, or they can become demons and do a multi million dollar renovation project with a husky."

They both laughed heartily.

After Dumbledore's death, Garfield would not be so bored as to make him come back and continue his labor.

The over one hundred year old man had experienced so much hardship that he was already overwhelmed.

If it were not for his concern that Harry could not handle his student Tom, Dumbledore would have already passed away.

The reason Dumbledore did not leave until the very end was not only because he had already set up a trap that was enough to kill Voldemort, but also because he knew that he had almost successfully trained Harry and his friends.

Having spent enough time with Garfield, Dumbledore stood up and said, "It's getting late. I need to go to Headmaster Dipper to explain things. I might need to embellish what you said. Even if Tom is destined to do something bad in the future, that is a matter for the future."

"Right now, he is just a student. As a teacher at Hogwarts, I cannot eliminate a student because of a prophecy."

Garfield replied, "Old Bee, you can say whatever you want. I am not a moralist. Besides, I have already warned him. We will deal with the future when it comes."

"Okay, I am going now."

"Come on. I am going to take a nap. You know, a nap can help the body recover some energy and has the effect of prolonging life."

"Is that so? I will try it later."

Foreigners do not usually take naps, and Dumbledore was no exception.

After leaving Garfield's place, he prepared his speech on the way to Dipper's office.

In the headmaster's office, Dumbledore gave Dipper a long, persuasive speech.

He turned Garfield's warning to young Voldemort into a simple demonstration of magic.

Dumbledore was a master at manipulating people and controlling their minds.

Otherwise, the future brilliant and compassionate Severus Snape would have remained under his control.

Even, steady snoring echoed in Garfield's room.

The dragon figurine, warming itself by the fireplace, carefully observed Garfield to confirm that he was asleep.

Then it blinked its eyes, spread its wings, and flew out through the fireplace chimney.

Escorted by Dumbledore, Tom left the headmaster's office and went to the school infirmary.

After a thorough examination confirmed that Tom was alright, he was given a sedative.

Dumbledore then escorted Tom to the Slytherin common room.

Tom Riddle's mind finally cleared completely after being exposed to the cold wind for a while.

Dumbledore asked, "Tom, are you feeling better?"

"Thank you for your concern, Professor Dumbledore. I am much better."

"It is good that you are alright. If you feel unwell, tell your classmates and they can take you to the school clinic. Of course, you can also ask your head of house or any professor."

"Okay, I understand, Professor Dumbledore."

"You seem a little tired, Tom. Get some rest."

"Yes, Professor."

They said goodbye, and Dumbledore watched Tom walk into the Slytherin common room before leaving.

Tom Riddle lay on his bed, recalling the shocking scene of Garfield summoning lightning that instantly turned the entire lake's ice and snow into dust.

His heart pounded violently.

As a standard future Dark Lord, little Tom possessed the basic requirements to become the final boss.

A tragic childhood, a distorted worldview, extraordinary talent, meticulous thinking, incredible luck before meeting the protagonist, and exceptional charisma.

He could gain a following with just a few words.

More importantly, he had a strong heart that could quickly restore his beliefs.

He whispered to himself, "So powerful. So shocking. Tom Marvolo Riddle, you must find a way to become stronger."

"Only when you are strong will you not be so terrified by a spell like you were today. You have Salazar Slytherin's blood in you. You are definitely not much weaker than a cat. Keep it up. You can do it."

After half a day of self motivation, Tom successfully regained his confidence and began to consider changing his original plans.

He would continue striving for what he believed to be the right future.

Garfield's ability to wipe out all the ice and snow on the lake with a single move was impressive.

Despite Dipper's request for secrecy, the news leaked in the shortest possible time.

The leak did not come from within the school, but from the residents of Hogsmeade across the lake.

Coincidentally, while Garfield was demonstrating his power, a resident who had been drinking was preparing to relieve his bloated bladder by the lake in the cold wind.

Before he even reached the lake, Garfield struck.

The result was that he watched as the lake in front of him instantly turned to dust.

His heart was no stronger than Tom's.

After the initial shock, he frantically ran back into the tavern.

The patrons and bartenders, who had sensed the unusual magical fluctuations when Garfield made his move, rushed out.

Although they had not witnessed the events, they saw the outcome.

A fleeting orange cat silhouette across the lake, terrified villagers, and the Hogwarts teachers who gradually emerged.

News spread quickly and naturally reached the Ministry of Magic.

Their investigation inevitably involved Dumbledore and Dippet.

After some discussion, they decided to sell Garfield out.

The Ministry was helpless against Garfield.

After all, the High Paws Corporation was a behemoth not to be trifled with, especially since Garfield was not a native cat.

The matter was ultimately handed over to Dumbledore, the Minister for Foreign Affairs.

As Minister of Foreign Affairs and a party involved, Dumbledore also acted as an investigator.

He recorded Garfield's account and Tom's words before submitting them.

The Ministry, aside from being amazed by Garfield's power, said nothing more.

The wizarding world is pragmatic.

Wizards admire powerful wizards.

The more powerful you are, the less likely they are to criticize you.

The Ministry of Magic's silence did not mean the wizarding public was indifferent.

After a group of drunken tavern patrons gave their accounts, the original story began to distort.

All sorts of bizarre and outlandish interpretations emerged.

However, one thing they did not change was that the orange cat was responsible for evaporating the lake.

After some time, Garfield's status in the wizarding world was almost on par with Merlin's.
