Chapter 271 - Chapter 271 : The Laughing God is about to transform into the shape of Slaanesh

The others in the sanctuary knelt on one knee, greeting the supreme ruler of humanity.

A strong light erupted from Alex's body, engulfing Lion, and no one could hear what they said.

On the other side, Alex transformed into a black sun, and in an instant, his gaze swept across the entire galaxy.

"This feeling is truly wonderful, making one unable to stop."

"Is this the vision of a God who controls everything and knows everything?!"

"Oh, no, the Emperor is not a God."

"Speaking of which, Yellow Old Man is really petty. When will he let me take on those four bastards?"

"I want to punch Nurgle, the fat slob, and kick Slaanesh, the widow's door."

Alex complained while looking at the domains of the Chaos Gods.

Khorne's domain was always about hacking and slashing, a crimson expanse.

Tzeentch's domain was a pile of intertwined bird heads, its true form like a tangled knot of death, with countless bird heads pulling in countless directions, making the body even tighter, unable to do anything.

Nurgle's domain was a rotten garden, where a group of fat people, big and small, were playing house, throwing whatever they found into that broken pot.

Slaanesh's domain always looked like a bizarre carnival in full swing.

The Chaos Gods also felt Alex's gaze and looked at him one after another.

"We're all playing chess pieces, do we really need such a gaze?"

Alex muttered,

Because he could only watch and do nothing, after a moment of staring, Alex turned his head and no longer paid attention to them.

"Should I look at something else?"

"I wonder what Erebus is doing?"

Alex thought of the galaxy's number one villain, but Erebus did not believe in the Emperor, so he couldn't pinpoint the villain's location.

However, he still saw some fragments of images related to Erebus.

Alex organized these image fragments and gathered some information from them.

He found that Erebus was on a warship full of dead bodies, and the other party was heading to the Koronus Expanse.

"What is this villain trying to do now?"

Alex knew that Erebus certainly wasn't up to anything good.

The Koronus Expanse was so close to his base, the Calixis Sector.

Going to the Koronus Expanse must be aimed at him.

He had to guard against this scoundrel.

"Erebus's actions reminded me that the Koronus Expanse should also become a territory ruled by the Imperium."

A Sector is an area where formal Imperial governance has been established, possessing a complete trade and military system.

An Expanse, on the other hand, usually has not yet established formal Imperial governance, but still contains many human colonies.

Typically, it can take several millennia for a region to go from discovery to formal conquest.

For example, the Calixis Sector took a very long time from its discovery to the formal establishment of its Sector government.

However, with the Players around, Alex felt that the Koronus Expanse would soon become a formal territory of the Imperium.

The enthusiasm of the Fourth Scourge was unimaginable to the local natives.

"Should I issue an Explorer's Decree?"

Alex thought of a good idea that could maximize the enthusiasm of the Players.

Any planet conquered by the Players would be theirs to rule.

Of course, it didn't mean making them slave owners.

The moral bottom line of the Fourth Scourge was terrifyingly low.

Even demons would exclaim "Devil!" upon seeing them.

If the Players were allowed to act freely, the Chaos Gods would immediately be whitewashed and become benevolent Gods protecting the galaxy.

The premise of rule must certainly conform to current laws and fully respect the choices and freedom of the Imperial citizens.

Many Players do not want to fight and kill, and are not active in various battles.

Allowing them to rule and transform various worlds can also be an efficient use of resources.

Then, there could be a few competitions to see who managed their planets better, and awards for Best Management could be given out.

By then, a horde of Players would pour into the Koronus Expanse, and we'd see what kind of trouble Erebus could stir up!

Just as Alex was envisioning how to develop the Imperial frontier and compress the living space of villains like Erebus,

His vision suddenly blurred, and all images disappeared.

Alex was back in the sanctuary of the Rock Fortress.

"Thrown back again."

Alex looked around and saw the Cherub flapping its wings and flying into the light hole.

It seemed the father-son meeting was over.

Alex turned to look at Lion, who was still standing there, stunned, his eyes slightly red, clearly overly emotional from seeing his old father.

It might also be because he saw that he was older than his old father, and for a moment, his emotions were uncontrollable.

He had slept for ten thousand years, and upon waking, found himself with white hair.

For a moment, he couldn't tell who was the son and who was the father.

"Lion?"

Alex's call brought Lion back to his senses.

He suppressed the many thoughts in his heart, "You've seen me at my worst, Saint."

"It's only human nature." Alex did not voice his inner thoughts.

"My business here is finished; I have other things to attend to."

Alex was preparing to leave, to repair the Webway, and then set a trap for Abaddon, that big smart guy.

"Saint." Lion was a bit reluctant.

Cooperating with Alex was truly wonderful.

At least a hundred times happier than cooperating with that bastard Guilliman.

Why didn't Father create the Saint ten thousand years ago? Then he could have replaced Horus as Warmaster,

Leading humanity to unsurpassed glory.

Alex said, "If you have something very urgent, you can also call me. As long as a God Chosen is by your side, I can descend at any time."

After conversing for a while, Alex and his people departed.

Using the Lighthouse's teleportation network, they traveled to Ghomorra to repair the Webway and open a passage between the Imperium Sanctus and the Dark Side.

However, as soon as he arrived in Ghomorra, Alex summoned Cortana.

"Master." Cortana's response was always so prompt. "Help me edit a few small data packs," Alex said.

"What type of data packs, Master?" Cortana asked.

"The first small data pack is about the Webway. It increases rewards. As long as the Webway route between the Imperial Dark Side and the Imperium Sanctus can be opened, a large amount of rewards will be given."

"The second small data pack is about the Koronus Expanse. That place is a mix of all sorts of creatures, and it's time to bring it under Imperial rule. Grant the Players pioneering rights; as long as they can conquer a planet, it will be theirs to rule."

Cortana also released small data packs, such as collecting ancient treasures for her, or searching for special metals, as well as some key wars.

As for large data packs, Alex also had a plan, which was the Battle of Vigil, but this could only be launched after the Webway route was opened.

Otherwise, if the data pack was launched and Abaddon didn't cooperate, hiding in the Eye of Terror and not coming out, that would be very awkward.

Cortana was quick, and in no time, she produced the two small data packs.

[Data Pack: Koronus Expanse Pioneering Act Since 997 of the 40th Millennium, when the Koronus Expanse was first discovered, humanity began exploring this mysterious region.

Countless adventurers crossed the Maw, arriving at the Koronus Expanse, solely to seek lost relics and hidden treasures.

Innumerable lives were lost in that mysterious region, but there was never a lack of courageous humans. They rushed into that danger wave after wave in the name of the Emperor, harvesting wealth while also spreading the glory of the Imperium.

As the rule of the Calixis Sector became more stable, the issue of expanding territory was once again placed before the Imperial rulers.

For a powerful civilization to endure in the galaxy, it must constantly maintain a posture of expansion.

However, considering the current state of the Imperium, its rulers decided to entrust the power of pioneering to the fated individuals chosen by the Emperor.

Anyone who can conquer a planet and pledge to rule according to Imperial law will gain dominion over that planet.

[Data Pack: Chasm Becomes Thoroughfare Since Abaddon the Despoiler destroyed Cadia, the Imperium of Man has been split in two, making communication and travel extremely difficult.

Currently, humanity only has one Nachmund Gauntlet connecting the fragmented Imperium, but such a narrow passage could be cut off by the Gods at any time. Humanity needs more routes to connect the shattered Imperium.

The ancient Webway can ignore Warp storms, but it itself is already shattered. Those dark and evil Gods will never allow humanity to restart the Webway, but even in desperation, humanity never yields to difficulties or enemies.

The Imperium plans to invest resources to give the Imperium a Webway that can connect the Imperium Sanctus and the Dark Side.

Anyone who successfully repairs a Webway leading to the Dark Side will receive generous rewards.

For more details, enter the game and inquire at Ghomorra.

Alex checked them, confirmed they were good, and nodded.

"Cortana did a great job."

This made Cortana look proud, puffing out her chest, "Of course, Cortana is Master's most capable assistant."

Alex smiled, "Same as usual, schedule it for release at 6 PM."

"Understood." Cortana nodded, then disappeared.

Alex stepped onto the balcony, and what greeted his eyes was the rebuilding Ghomorra.

At this moment, he was standing on a tall building constructed by the Adeptus Mechanicus.

After expelling the Drukhari / Dark Aeldari and mending the rifts, the Imperium began rebuilding Ghomorra, preparing to firmly control this important Webway node.

Large numbers of Ark Eldar were pouring in from all directions of the Webway, gathering in this ancient city, attempting to rebuild it into a habitable homeland.

Ghomorra was once a core city of the Webway.

During the Great Fall of the Eldar, many Eldar chose to flee into the Webway, hiding in various nodal cities.

Ghomorra had the most refugee Eldar, and their status was also the highest.

Among them were many top dignitaries of the Aeldari Empire.

These individuals formed the initial political landscape of Ghomorra and brought in the decadent customs of the Aeldari Empire.

Some Eldar consequently left, going to join various Arks.

Now that the Drukhari / Dark Aeldari had been expelled by humans, and the Saint, as the embodiment of the Emperor's will, had signed a contract with them, allowing them to return to Ghomorra to live,

Naturally, many Eldar flocked to participate in the rebuilding of Ghomorra.

Eldrad Ulthran and other Seers also guided and restrained their kin, preventing conflicts with humans.

However, a large number of Drukhari / Dark Aeldari still remained in the Webway.

Having lost their sole home, Ghomorra, these Drukhari / Dark Aeldari became extremely hostile towards humans and other Eldar branches.

They stubbornly believed that Eldrad Ulthran and other Ark Eldar had acted as collaborators,

Leading humans into Ghomorra to occupy their homeland.

Therefore, the Ark Eldar were as deserving of death as humans.

To this end, they continuously launched attacks in various hidden parts of the Webway, massacring many Imperial personnel and Ark Eldar.

The Imperium did not just endure; it formed joint squads and repeatedly launched attacks, striking first whenever Drukhari / Dark Aeldari were found.

Both sides fought fiercely throughout the Webway.

Footsteps sounded, and an attendant walked in, bowing to Alex, "Saint."

"What is it?" Alex didn't turn his head.

"Eldrad Ulthran, the Seer of the Usve Ark World, and Shadowseer Hilandri, the Veilwalker, have brought several Eldar who wish to see you," the attendant said.

"News travels fast. They know I'm back so soon. Let them in."

Alex said.

"Yes." The attendant acknowledged and left. A moment later, Eldrad Ulthran and Shadowseer Hilandri entered, escorting a tall Eldar dressed in splendid attire and wearing a jester's mask.

Alex stared at the Eldar for a while, then smiled.

He had already guessed who the newcomer was.

"Welcome, Cegorach, the Laughing God of the Eldar."

"Heh! Heh! Heh!"

A laugh full of joy, happiness, and mockery emanated from the tall Eldar wearing the jester's mask,

Echoing continuously in the room.

"As expected of the incarnation of the Human Lord, truly knowledgeable."

"I am Cegorach, the Eldar God who mocks fate. This body is my avatar, my mask walking among mortals."

An operatic tone flowed from the Eldar's mouth, and he laughed heartily.

He was not Cegorach's true form, but a Harlequin, a Sublime Avatar, the role of the Laughing God in Harlequin plays.

Alex opened his comms and called his communications officer, "Send some good wine over."

"To receive such warm hospitality from the Saint is truly an honor." The Sublime Avatar bowed to Alex.

"Visitors are guests." Alex gestured for everyone to sit.

Soon, servants brought in wine and some dishes.

A servant was about to open the wine when Alex stopped him.

"You all may leave. I will personally entertain the guests."

Alex uncorked the red wine bottle, poured the wine into stemware, and handed it to the Sublime Avatar, Eldrad Ulthran, and Shadowseer Hilandri in turn.

"May I ask why the Laughing God has come to see me?"

The Sublime Avatar swirled the wine in his glass, "Do you wish to unite with the Saint to attack the domain of the Dark Prince?"

Alex was slightly stunned.

What?

The Laughing God wants to lead troops to attack Slaanesh's domain?

This is like a delicate young lady entering a bandit's den; it probably wouldn't even take a day for her to become just like the bandits!
