Chapter 111 - Chapter 110 Even though dinner time had been restored to normal by Lynn

Failing even to remind Hannah showed that her efforts in learning were still insufficient.

She wasn't smart to begin with—she was a foolish child and needed to work even harder. Walking quickly into the Great Hall and sitting at the Ravenclaw Table, Lynn condemned herself in her mind using programmed language while eating dinner.

Even though dinner time had been restored to normal by Lynn, it didn't take much time; she finished eating in just ten minutes.

Standing up and leaving the Great Hall, Lynn headed straight for the Library.

Arriving at the Library, Lynn took out several books in order and began reading rapidly at her 'fixed seat'.

After ten minutes or so, Hermione also walked into the Library and sat down next to Lynn with a clear objective.

After sitting down, she didn't disturb Lynn's studying either; she took out her own homework and began completing it seriously.

Because Hermione didn't speak to call Lynn, Lynn naturally didn't notice that she was sitting beside her.

She continued reading the book in her hand for over an hour until Hermione put down her quill and squeezed her somewhat sore eyes shut forcefully.

Looking at Lynn beside her who was still seriously reading, Hermione sighed and reached out to gently poke her arm.

"Lynn, rest your eyes before reading more."

Only upon hearing Hermione call her full name did Lynn react. She nodded, closed the book, and turned to look at Hermione.

Placing both hands on Lynn's temples, Hermione spoke softly, "Close your eyes."

Slowly closing her eyes, Lynn felt Hermione gently massaging her temples.

Her eyes indeed felt a bit more relaxed.

When Lynn opened her eyes again, Harry and Ron were already sitting opposite them.

They just hadn't spoken seeing Hermione 'busy', and now that they saw Hermione finish and Lynn open her eyes—

The two of them spoke with faces full of misery, "This detention is truly annoying me to death."

Harry gritted his teeth and said fiercely, "That narcissistic big fraud Lockhart had me writing replies to his letters, bragging the whole night about how much his fans love him and how famous he is."

"Just like a noisy toad!"

Ron also had a mournful face, "I didn't have it easy either... Filch required me to polish trophies without using magic. I'm exhausted."

Hermione pursed her lips and looked at Harry and Ron. "Sorry, if it weren't for my business, you wouldn't have been given detention."

"The one who should apologize isn't you, Hermione," Harry shook his head. "And it's just a detention; compared to how much you've helped us, it's not worth mentioning."

"Exactly," Ron also cheered up and nodded. "It's just a detention. But if you really feel bad, could you let me copy this week's Potions homework?"

Upon hearing this, the self-reproach on Hermione's face instantly vanished, and she narrowed her eyes slightly.

"I don't feel bad anymore. I instantly stopped feeling bad. Ron Weasley, don't you ever think about copying homework."

"Checking your and Harry's homework is one thing, but letting you copy it is out of the question."

"Oh, alright." Ron, who hadn't expected Hermione to agree and was just trying his luck, shrugged indifferently.

"It's about time; we should head back to the dorms." Hermione raised her hand to check the time and then looked at Lynn beside her.

"Lynn, you should head back to your Dormitory too, right?"

Lynn looked down at the watch on her left wrist and nodded. "Mm."

Standing up and quickly packing her things, the four of them walked out of the Library together.

Not far from the Library, they ran head-on into the ghost of Gryffindor House, Nearly Headless Nick.

Nick was in a very good mood upon seeing the trio. He floated forward and looked at them, saying sincerely,

"Mr. Potter, it will be my Deathday in a while. I plan to hold a Deathday Party on that day and hope to invite you to attend."

"Oh, what?" Harry was stunned for a moment and looked at Nick with some surprise.

It was the first time he had heard of a ghost holding a Deathday Party for themselves. Was their own death really something worth celebrating to them?

However, out of politeness, Harry quickly changed his expression and answered with a smile,

"I mean, I'd love to go. May I ask when it is?"

"Oh, I'm so glad you can come," Nick's mood instantly lifted significantly. "It's on the night of Halloween, some time from now."

"Uh... alright, I'll be there." Harry nodded with a smile.

After watching Nick leave, Harry turned with some hesitation to ask Hermione and Ron, also glancing at Lynn.

"Are you guys going?"

Hermione was the first to nod, her eyes sparkling with a strong thirst for knowledge. "Of course. I haven't seen what a ghost's Deathday Party is like yet."

"It's fine to go have a look." Ron also nodded in agreement.

Lynn turned her head mechanically toward Hermione, quickly retrieved information about ghost Deathday Parties in her brain, and spoke matter-of-factly.

"A ghost's Deathday Party generally invites fellow ghosts, so the venue will be very cold."

"Ghosts cannot eat and thus have no sense of taste. They can only pass through food, so the food at a Deathday Party is usually highly rotten with a very strong smell so that the ghosts can sense it as they pass through."

"Therefore, if you're going, you need to bring enough clothes and food."

Lynn paused for a moment and continued to supplement without any tone, "Do you need me to bring these for you when I go?"

Yes, she had already defaulted in her mind that she was going too.

Hermione and the other two were dumbfounded by Lynn's description of the Deathday Party.

Harry opened his mouth blankly. "Well... I think I'm not too keen on going anymore."

"No, Harry," Hermione turned to look at him, "you must do what you promised."

Harry raised his hand to rub his somewhat stiff face. "I know. I was just saying. I'll go."

Hermione nodded with satisfaction, then turned to look at Lynn again. She reached out somewhat dotingly and lightly touched Lynn's cheek.

It was soft, smooth, and super elastic. The sensation from her hand made the corners of Hermione's mouth curl even higher.

"Lynn, you shouldn't go. You need to eat properly, and as you said, the Deathday Party is very cold. You might catch a cold if you go."

Lynn blinked and slowly nodded. In that case, she would just go back to her Dormitory to study then.

"Then Hermione, Ron, you two shouldn't go either. You didn't promise Nick you'd go just now."

Harry looked at his two best friends and hesitated, still suggesting they shouldn't go.

It was cold and there was nothing to eat; it would be better if he just went alone.

"It's fine," Hermione waved her hand indifferently when it came to herself. "We'll just wear more and bring some food. How could we let you go alone?"

"Exactly," Ron nudged Harry with his elbow with a grin. "We're with you."

"Alright." Harry couldn't help but smile and nod.

Reaching the point where they had to separate, Hermione leaned in and nuzzled her cheek against Lynn's. As expected... it was an enjoyable feeling.

Hermione narrowed her eyes comfortably and whispered in Lynn's ear, "Goodnight, sweet dreams."

Even with her cheek nuzzled by Hermione, Lynn felt nothing.

Her face remained unmoved as she responded without any fluctuation in her tone, "I won't dream. Goodnight, Hermione."

Hermione sighed helplessly, let go of Lynn, and tapped her nose. "Go on back."

Lynn nodded and turned to walk toward Ravenclaw Tower. Not until her figure vanished did Hermione turn to walk toward Gryffindor Tower with Harry and Ron.
