"Even though Feng Che is a member of Team Rocket, his ambitions lie far beyond them," Lance continued, his voice steady over the monitor. "Moreover, Team Rocket is currently the key to balancing the various factions. With them present, Goodshow won't dare move against us. As the saying goes: When the birds are gone, the bow is stored; when the rabbits are killed, the hounds are cooked. We understand this well."
Agatha nodded gravely. "Still, this young man is remarkable—a true strategic talent."
Lorelei, thoughtful, eventually exited the League Headquarters. She spotted Feng Che in a lively conversation with Red and Blue (Green).
Before the match, I didn't realize this kid was so powerful, Lorelei mused. Now, I realize your courage is even greater. To infiltrate the Indigo Jail and steal the Heart of Steel from Hagen... if it weren't for the chaos you caused, Goodshow wouldn't be this cornered.
She gripped a Master Ball tightly in her hand—her final trump card. Kanto is currently held in a delicate balance between Goodshow's League, Agatha's Elites, and Team Rocket. If that balance breaks, the region will burn. I hope Team Rocket doesn't cross the line.
"Everyone, I'm going to settle in at the Viridian Gym first," Feng Che told Red and Blue. "Once I've got things in order, I'll join you in Johto."
"No problem," Red replied, his eyes burning with a new determination. "Blue (Leaf) is still gathering info on the Bell Tower. I'm going to stay at Indigo Plateau for a while to train. My battle with you showed me how much I still have to learn."
"I'm heading back to Pallet Town to help my grandfather with research," Blue (Green) added. "I've realized I'm lacking in knowledge regarding Pokémon Abilities and breeding."
"Blue, if you have time, visit my Foster House," Feng Che suggested. "I have many rare Pokémon there that aren't common in Kanto."
Team Rocket Headquarters
Giovanni's knuckles turned white as he read the evidence provided by Augustus. The sheer list of Sakaki Tsu's crimes—murdering rising talents out of jealousy, sending anonymous tips to the League to frame Feng Che, and even the revelation that he was responsible for the loss of Giovanni's son, Silver—made his blood run cold.
"He truly is a 'good' nephew," Giovanni hissed, his face iron-blue. "To sabotage the very foundation of Team Rocket for his own petty ego..."
"Strip Sakaki Tsu of all his Pokémon," Giovanni commanded. "Exile him to the Island of Outcasts. Announce his crimes to the entire organization. He no longer deserves the name Sakaki."
Giovanni then turned his attention to Feng Che. "Promote Feng Che to Senior Executive. Give him full authority to recruit his own subordinates: two Elite units and three full battalions. Tell him everything about Sakaki Tsu's punishment. I want him to know exactly how much I value him. Team Rocket never mistreats those who serve well, and never forgives a traitor."
Unova Region
Feng Lu looked at the white hair on his father Vio's head, tears streaming down his face.
"I have to find my wife and child," Feng Lu said firmly. "My wife was likely taken back by her family, but my son... I haven't been able to find a trace of him since my imprisonment."
"Our Unova branch of the Dragon Clan is unique," Vio explained, patting his son's shoulder. "Direct descendants bear a Divine Dragon Tattoo on their backs that appears at age sixteen. It grants a unique Dragon Power that acts like Sweet Scent to Dragon-type Pokémon—even the most savage dragons become docile before it."
Vio looked at him meaningfully. "Watch for any rising Dragon Trainers in Kanto of the right age. That might be your boy."
The Outskirts of Viridian City
Feng Che arrived at the Viridian Gym on his Flygon. The gym was massive but looked desolate, a victim of years of neglect after Giovanni shifted his focus to Team Rocket's expansion.
As he pushed open the dust-covered doors, a cloud of grime erupted.
"This place needs to be torn down and rebuilt," Feng Che muttered, looking at the rusted statue of Giovanni. Sunlight streamed through a massive hole in the ceiling, illuminating a gym that had been reclaimed by nature. Wild grass and flowers grew through the floorboards, and several Oddish peered curiously at the intruder before scurrying away.
