Chapter 686 - Magnezone at Full Throttle

By the time the column of wind reached Magnezone, it had grown exceptionally weak. With a final crackle, the tempest was completely vaporized by Magnezone's maximum-output Thunderbolt.

"Superb. Corviknight, use Steel Wing!"

Corviknight had already silently closed the distance under the cover of the dissolving winds. It pivoted in midair, driving its shimmering Steel Wing ruthlessly toward Magnezone.

Magnezone raised its magnet-tipped arms in a clean defensive block. The twin Klinklang flanking its chassis rotated at a manic velocity, turning into whirring serrated saws that slammed head-on into the Raven Pokémon.

The collision of steel armor and whirring gears unleashed a fountain of kinetic sparks, yet the saw-blades consistently failed to penetrate the absolute barrier of Corviknight's protective Delta Stream.

With a heavy, crushing downward stroke, Corviknight's Steel Wing forcefully batted the Klinklang away, sending them plowing straight into the dirt.

With two sharp, metallic thuds, the companion units embedded themselves deeply into the pulverized bedrock. They spun with failing, jagged friction for a brief second before their structural frames completely fractured, fracturing into pieces along the floor.

"N, your Klinklang division has been completely pulverized," Feng Che observed flatly, his expression unchanging.

Yet, N didn't display a single shred of irritation. "Shredded? This works out perfectly for our secondary layout. Prepare your senses to witness Magnezone's Phase Two morphology!"

N snapped his fingers with a sharp crack, and a colossal reservoir of electricity violently erupted from Magnezone's chassis.

The roaring magnetic currents acted as an irresistible vacuum, telekinetically drawing the fractured shards of the Klinklang straight onto Magnezone's primary hull. Where the Klinklang lines had originally operated as mere independent companion entities, they were now being seamlessly integrated to serve as Magnezone's specialized auxiliary combat armor.

The jagged, interlocking metal rings of the Klinklang clamped tightly around Magnezone's central frame. As the rings rotated at a frantic cadence, their hyper-tensile spikes presented a deeply threatening, defensive perimeter.

The larger master gears clamped securely onto Magnezone's left and right electromagnetic arms, while the smaller sub-gears were brought under its direct telekinetic command. The twin sub-gears spun at an astronomical velocity in midair, their friction venting intense sheets of high-voltage currents.

"This is Magnezone's Armored State. Its raw combat parameters are far beyond anything its baseline morphology can hope to manifest," N sneered coolly. "Magnezone, use Gear Grind!"

The twin sub-gears transformed into two blinding, golden streaks of kinetic energy, shrieking through the air toward Corviknight.

The exact second Corviknight attempted to map an aerodynamic evasive vector, a brutal surge of tracking electricity violently shot out from the gears. The electrical discharge washed over Corviknight's chassis, serving as a biological beacon to cleanly lock its spatial coordinates for the incoming projectiles. Guided by the tracking parameters, the gears' acceleration loop scaled exponentially.

"Superb! Press the lane, sub-gears! Break its hull!"

Watching Corviknight close in on an inescapable impact window, Feng Che's voice sliced across the arena. "Corviknight, use Brave Bird into Aerial Ace!"

Corviknight executed a flawless, high-velocity barrel roll, a massive network of siphoned electricity detonating in its wake like a spectacular display of aerial fireworks. Having thrown off the tracking coordinates by executing the sudden spatial maneuver, the sub-gears' velocity sharply decayed as they lost their target vector.

Pivoting gracefully through the blind spot, Corviknight materialized directly behind the gears, unleashing a howling Hurricane to catch them from the rear. The sub-gears were violently propelled away by the concussive pressure of the tempest. Yet, a mere micro-second before they could impact the floor, Magnezone pulsed its core magnetic authority, snapping the gears smoothly back into its orbital grid with a sharp whoosh.

"Magnezone, use Gravity!"

An oppressive, pitch-black shroud of distorted spatial energy enveloped Magnezone's chassis. Moving under the re-engineered gravitational parameters, its travel velocity surged exponentially, scaling to over five times its baseline acceleration loop.

It executed Autotomize while simultaneously lowering its personal gravitational mass, Feng Che analyzed internally. N truly deserves his tier as a Champion-rank Trainer; once an individual forces their way into the Champion rank, every single one of them holds an exceptional mastery over their chosen mechanics.

"Corviknight, counter with Hurricane!"

Saturated under the minimal weight parameters, Magnezone's physical mass was exceptionally light, yet what caught Feng Che's attention was that its momentum remained entirely fluid and stable. The master gears tracking its left and right flanks rotated at a frantic cadence, transforming into two colossal, whirring buzzsaws.

"Corviknight, use your blade feathers!"

The independent steel blades tore out from Corviknight's plumage like a squadron of heavy bombers, shrieking toward Magnezone. Yet, the high-velocity saw-blades effortlessly intercepted the incoming projectiles, cleanly grinding the steel feathers into dust.

A massive fountain of kinetic sparks and fragmented metal shards rained down across the upper reaches like fading autumn petals.

With their spatial distance fully closed, Corviknight and Magnezone collided ruthlessly in a direct physical clash. Magnezone's whirring gear-saws ground violently against Corviknight's outstretched wings, a tremendous shower of sparks exploding from the friction. Concurrently, Magnezone discharged a massive payload of raw electricity straight into its opponent's chassis.

Corviknight was completely enveloped within a roaring matrix of blinding lightning, letting out a sharp, resonant cry. Yet, its residual stamina indicators showed near-zero statistical degradation despite absorbing the brunt of the Electric-type assault.

"How on earth is this possible? Why is that Corviknight sustaining near-zero trauma after being hit cleanly by a high-voltage discharge?!" Drayden asked, his expression rich with acute bewilderment as he turned to Vio.

Vio merely shrugged his shoulders, unmasking his own lack of detailed data regarding the phenomenon. After all, Feng Che was a grandson he had only recently re-established ties with.

"However... if I had to formulate a deduction, the specialized metallic compound plating that Corviknight's outer chassis must possess an elite insulation coefficient, allowing it to systematically ground and expel external currents," Vio hypothesized.

In reality, the vast majority of the audience members had locked their analytical focus strictly onto Corviknight's hyper-dense steel hull, completely missing the faint, emerald currents rippling gently across its feathers. It was the absolute protection of the Delta Stream ability that permitted Corviknight to flawlessly override the standard elemental vulnerabilities of the Electric-type payload.

"Superb work. Corviknight, use Drill Peck!"

Corviknight's reinforced beak elongated slightly, the appendage rotating at a manic velocity to transform into an exceptionally sharp kinetic drill. It dove straight down, aiming to pierce Magnezone's central core dead-center.

In that exact millisecond, Magnezone activated its defensive countermeasures. The interlocking rings armor-plating its chassis violently discharged an infinite, multi-directional storm of Pin Missiles, the electric needles shooting outward like a torrent of pear blossoms to lock down the airspace.

The dense barrage slammed repeatedly against Corviknight's descending frame, a frantic succession of metallic clangs echoing through the cavern. Subjected to the immense, cumulative physical weight of the spikes, Corviknight's downward momentum stalled, and its vessel was violently propelled away to re-establish spatial distance across the far end of the arena.

"Maintain your composure, Corviknight! Stabilize your flight parameters!"

"Magnezone, finish it with a million-volt Bolt Strike!" N roared.

An infinite reservoir of siphoned electricity erupted from Magnezone's core capacitors, completely cocooning the armored titan within a blinding sun of raw energy. The currents woven together to manifest a gargantuan, roaring lightning dragon that lunged ruthlessly toward Corviknight.

A mere fraction of a second before making contact, the lightning dragon violently fractured, splitting into thousands of independent, high-velocity electrical streams that converged upon Corviknight from every single directional vector.

Corviknight noted with absolute shock that regardless of what aerodynamic evasive loops it attempted to chart, the electrical web completely blanketed its coordinates. Following a series of grueling engagements back-to-back, the defensive shroud of its Delta Stream had grown exceptionally thin and volatile. If it absorbed this scale of multi-targeted current cleanly, its protective field would instantly collapse, leaving its vessel to sustain catastrophic structural trauma.

"Corviknight, smash through their perimeter with Brave Bird!"

Since mapping a clean evasion was statistically impossible, the single finest alternative was to mount an absolute offensive press.

Corviknight marshaled the residual atmospheric currents, condensing the winds into a colossal, roaring gale phoenix that beat its wings to charge straight toward Magnezone. It exploded through the closing net of electricity, piercing the perimeter a mere micro-second before the main payload could converge.

"Magnezone, use Protect!"

The precise millisecond a translucent, milky-white protective barrier materialized across Magnezone's chassis, Corviknight's kinetic phoenix slammed dead-center into the shield.
