Chapter 696 - Kings Meet Kings, The Clash of Twin Dragons

The brilliant, golden sun illuminated every corner of the massive cavern, instantly erasing half of the available shadows that could offer concealment.

"Superb. Sirfetch'd, use Solar Blade!"

Sirfetch'd's leek broadsword and shield siphoned a colossal reservoir of golden light particles, both components radiating an intense, blinding glare. Maintaining absolute structural discipline, the Wild Duck Pokémon guarded its perimeter, warily scanning for a subterranean or high-speed ambush from Zoroark.

"Zoroark, now is our hour! Target its blind spot with Night Slash!"

Zoroark's movement pathing remained completely unpredictable as it maneuvered through the residual shadows. Suddenly, its physical vessel burst cleanly out from Sirfetch'd's own silhouette.

Sirfetch'd rotated its torso fluidly, driving its fully charged Solar Blade backward in a sweeping horizontal arc. The weapon erupted with a blinding, incandescent gold sheen. The kinetic edge sliced cleanly through Zoroark's chassis, yet the massive brawler instantly dissolved into soapy bubbles, vanishing entirely.

Darn it... That Zoroark was merely an empty proxy shell, Feng Che analyzed warily.

A micro-second later, a massive Shadow Claw saturated with volatile Ghost-type energy aggressively thrust out from Sirfetch'd's rear. If the bird absorbed a localized strike of that caliber cleanly, its vital parameters would plunge into a critical, severely wounded state.

Sirfetch'd raised its reinforced leek shield to anchor the angle. Suddenly, a towering column of concentrated solar mass violently erupted from the shield's face. The maximum-intensity Solar Beam exploded outward, completely vaporizing the descending Shadow Claw.

Subjected to the thermal back-pressure of the blast, Zoroark felt a wave of acute, burning agony flare across its forelimbs. It let out a sharp, piercing shriek as it retreated.

"Maintain your composure, Zoroark! Recover your cell matrix with Recover, then suppress their lane with Aura Sphere!" N directed with absolute calm.

Aura Sphere... For a Zoroark to seamlessly execute Aura Sphere is an exceptional mechanical anomaly.

Various apex species hold the baseline capacity to channel Aura Sphere, but a standard Zoroark is fundamentally unaligned with that roster.

This structural output proves that splicing the sequenced genetics of Lucario into its core pathways successfully allowed Zoroark to inherit and master Aura Sphere fields, Feng Che calculated clinically.

A massive grid of golden light particles crystallized around Zoroark's frame. As the parameters merged into its pathways, the deep structural thermal wounds marring its forelimbs were flash-healed and restored at a visible pace.

Forensic telemetry indicates its physical defense loops are remarkably dense, but its special defense markers are dangerously brittle, Feng Che muttered internally. He stood his ground, calmly waiting for Zoroark to launch its Aura Sphere barrage.

Zoroark slammed its palms together, a pristine white orb closely resembling a compressed Rasengan condensing within its grip. Its execution velocity was astronomical; within a few seconds, it marshaled its siphoned parameters to unleash a relentless, rapid-fire volley of Aura Spheres.

The projectiles tore across the air with terrifying momentum. Sirfetch'd steeled its stance, swinging its massive leek shield like a baseball bat to ruthlessly swat the incoming spheres out of the sky.

One of the deflected Aura Spheres executed a sharp ricochet, slamming dead-center into Zoroark's own chassis to force the hybrid beast back several paces.

As the engagement intensified, Sirfetch'd's brawling indicators grew increasingly aggressive and optimized, while Zoroark's baseline stamina parameters suffered a severe statistical decay.

Ultimately, Sirfetch'd's massive leek broadsword bypassed Zoroark's guard to deliver a crushing blow that sent the hybrid beast plummeting from the upper airspace. It crashed heavily onto the cold bedrock, its arms limply dragging along the floor as its cognitive stability fractured entirely. It collapsed into a dead faint, completely incapacitated.

The moment its vitals buckled, the dense mantle of black miasma wrapping its chassis dissolved into nothingness, exposing its true form.

"Sensational. You have successfully neutralized five of the premier vanguard lines anchoring my roster," N acknowledged, bowing his head.

"Consequently, the final asset I resolve to deploy stands as the absolute Legend of the Unova region—the Dragon Deity of Creation, Reshiram."

N raised his hands, and a colossal, pure white shadow descended majestically from the highest reaches of the vault.

Juxtaposed against Zekrom's design, Reshiram's physical silhouette was noticeably more elegant and streamlined, its flowing, cloud-like plumage radiating an indescribable, regal majesty. Zekrom, conversely, commanded a far more rugged, industrial aesthetic.

"Reshiram has officially cleared the threshold. Zekrom—the hour has arrived to assert your sovereignty!"

Feng Che snapped his fingers with a sharp crack, and Zekrom charged out from the spatial channels of the Garden of Life.

The Deep Black Pokémon violently discharged an immense storm of blue lightning arcs from its tail turbine, filling the immediate workspace with static pressure. Reshiram countered by expelling a torrential cascade of thermal sparks from its tail engine, the heat shimmering across the atmosphere.

Having chosen divergent ideological paths during the ancient schism, the two dragons naturally gravitated toward Trainers who mirrored their core values.

"Feng Che, having sustained five consecutive losses across the previous rounds, by standard operational regulations, my campaign has already collapsed," N noted calmly.

"However, if my Reshiram possesses the raw parameters required to override your Zekrom right here, the ultimate victory shall remain with my hand."

As a true, high-tier Legendary deity, Reshiram's primal offensive output transcended anything the common species on Feng Che's roster could manifest, regardless of the siphoned attributes they had inherited.

"King N, do not yield! You stand as the absolute sovereign of Team Plasma!" Ghetsis suddenly roared from the sidelines, desperately injecting vocal support to rally his adoptive son.

"Maintain the press, Feng Che! You anchor the absolute peak of the Unova region's League!" Vio bellowed concurrently, matching Ghetsis's pressure to back his biological grandson.

Lining the periphery of the shattered command hub, the Seven Sages—who had been systematically dismantled hours prior—gradually regained consciousness. However, Mewtwo had long since securely embedded high-tier psychic tracking marks deep within their cognitive centers. These subliminal anchors would quietly and systematically rewrite their ideological codes over time, smoothly converting Team Plasma's elite inner circle into loyal subjects of Feng Che's empire.

"Reshiram, use Blue Flare!" N commanded.

Reshiram unhinged its elegant jaws, expelling a colossal, incandescent sphere of white-hot fire into the sky. The compressed orb violently fractured mid-transit, reshaping itself into a massive, cataclysmic web of roaring flames that blanked the airspace.

"Zekrom, cut it down with Bolt Strike!"

Zekrom's massive talons wreathed themselves in an immense matrix of blue electrical arcs, the lightning sharpening its cutting parameters to an extreme threshold. With a sharp, jagged flash of high-voltage current, the lightning blade cleaved straight through the center of the inferno, violently scattering the fire columns.

"Superb work. That initial exchange was merely an introductory trial."

Though N classified the clash as a mere trial, Reshiram's Blue Flare had already re-liquefied the floor, converting the bedrock back into a churning lake of active magma.

Reshiram opened its muzzle once more, unleashing another torrential sea of fire. Zekrom responded by firing up its internal turbine, generating a massive, impenetrable electromagnetic barrier to anchor the thermal front.

Letting out a deafening, primordial roar, the Deep Black Pokémon converted its vessel into a high-speed streak of midnight-blue light, aggressively ripping through the core of the inferno to shatter the technique entirely.

Reshiram immediately countered by dissolving its own silhouette into a streak of pure white light. The twin deities engaged in a brutal, high-velocity close-quarters dogfight across the subterranean vaults, the sheer weight of their kinetic collisions causing the structural pillars of the ruins to groan and buckle.

Their ancient, world-shaking dragon roars vibrated violently across the stone, causing massive boulders to shear from the ceiling and rain down into the arena.

"Feng Che, this localized airspace lacks the structural integrity required to safely sustain a full-scale confrontation between the Twin Dragons."

"I suggest we transition our engagement to an open theater," N shouted across the noise.

"My thoughts exactly, N," Feng Che responded coolly.

N smoothly vaulted onto Reshiram's back, and the Vast White Pokémon fired up its jet tail to blast straight up through the central transit shaft toward the surface ruins.

Feng Che utilized his high-tier psychic authority to execute an instantaneous Teleport, materializing flawlessly atop Zekrom's spine. Zekrom roared, tracking Reshiram's thermal wake as it carried Feng Che out of the collapsing subterranean complex.

Following the departure of the two sovereign sovereigns, Vio's division and Ghetsis's remaining inner circle were left standing amidst the dust, staring at one another in a tense, freezing silence.

"Vio... I never calculated that your Dragon Clan's internal ambitions would scale to this magnitude. To think your house has engineered a plot to usurp administrative sovereignty over the entire Unova region," Ghetsis sneered, his tone rich with venom.

"Haha! You dare level accusations of boundless ambition against my house? I recall quite clearly who orchestrated the unsealing of Kyurem, before publicly declaring 'I shall reign as the sole master of Unova!' to the world."

"Those intensely cringe, chuunibyou proclamations are securely indexed within my memory files, Ghetsis," Vio barked back, clinically dismantling the patriarch's posturing.

"You...!"

Recalling his past grandiose rants, Ghetsis's face flushed an intense shade of crimson with pure irritation. He shot a venomous glare toward the old grand master, before relapsing into a sullen, seething silence. Under the current parameters, neither syndicate possessed the desire to coordinate a secondary brawling loop.

High above the broken earth, Feng Che and N finally broke through the clouds to claim the limitless expanse of the open sky.
