[The level of Dainslief has risen!]
[The level of Sapphire has risen!]
[The level of Sapphire has risen!]
After one minute of battle, Alan got bored, so he simply released Sapphire, the Mephis Hell Cat, and Dainslief, his Holy Imperial Lion, to wreak havoc.
"Nyahaha, I will kill the most!"
"This trivial thing… let me show you how it's done!"
"They sure are energetic," Alan mumbled as he just sat there.
Even when the spider monsters tried to attack him, they were instantly frozen by the passive icy effect of his Frost King Aura due to their low health.
After 30 minutes, his first mission was done.
[You have cleared the first island.]
[You have acquired 1 Challenger Point for mission success.]
[Challenger Point]
Can be used to purchase items from the Challenger Store that exists somewhere in the Behen Archipelago.
[You have entered the second island.]
This island was at least 10 times larger than the first island. The scenery was also different. There was the sound of waterfalls in the lush jungle, as well as small mountains at each end of the island. There were also lakes and caves.
"Huh? Treasure chests?"
Alan looked around and noticed one place. It was a towering rock wall just behind the starting point. There were 10 golden boxes shining brightly.
"What is this… No, is it a trap?"
"Hmm… Mimic monsters?" Alan was thinking when he stopped after seeing the notifications.
[A mission will be created.]
[Second Island]
Open the locked treasure chests!
There are 10 keys hidden throughout the island.
It is important to find as many keys as possible, as each box has a different key.
Time Limit: 3 days.
First Clear Reward: Every time you open a box, 1 Challenger Point.
If two or more boxes can't be opened within the specified time, you will be expelled from the island.
[The mission will start in 30 minutes.]
"So, it's a treasure hunt this time," Alan nodded.
He simply walked toward the treasure chests and waited for the timer to start. After all, with his Legendary spell Unlock, he could open any chest and lock.
After 30 minutes, the challenge began—and he opened all of them in one minute.
The rest of the islands were the same for Alan as he easily cleared them all.
[You have cleared the ninth island.]
[You have acquired 24 Challenger Points for mission success.]
'I have a total of 102 points.'
"I hope there is something good in the shop," Alan mumbled as he walked onto the tenth island.
"But aren't these islands easy?" Alan wondered.
He remembered Skunk, the best explorer in Satisfy, the same guy from whom top rankers bought information about hidden areas through auctions he conducted. He had said it was a difficult place.
But so far, Alan hadn't even broken a sweat and had cleared everything easily.
The endless monsters on the first island, the hidden keys on the second island, capturing the escaped fox mice on the third island, swallowing the raging fire on the fourth island, surviving the blizzard on the fifth island, passing through the poisonous sixth island, the seventh and eighth islands where strong boss monsters appeared…
And the ninth island that he had just cleared…
From a general point of view, they weren't easy.
Yet at the same time, it felt easy—it was like a playground meant for Legendary classes.
And for someone like Alan, who had three of them, it was as easy as a walk in the park.
[You have entered the tenth island.]
It was a room rather than an island. The floor, walls, and ceiling were painted white, and the size of the empty room couldn't be measured. It was hard to get a sense of distance.
"What's this?"
There were white pointed pillars rising from the ground. They were thin metal poles, around 5 cm wide and 2 meters long.
"There are hundreds… No, thousands?"
[A mission will be created.]
[Tenth Island]
Avoid the lightning that will pour down like rain!
The lightning can't be defended against by any means. You can only evade.
Mission Success Conditions: Reach the gate for the eleventh island.
First Clear Reward: 30 Challenger Points.
You will instantly die if hit by a lightning strike.
[The mission will start in 30 minutes.]
[The ceiling has opened.]
Kurururung.
A loud roar was heard from above. Alan looked up and saw the sky revealed through the opened ceiling. It was filled with dark clouds.
'A lightning storm that can't be defended against…'
The lightning that would cause instant death would soon pour down. Considering its speed, this was not a mission that could be cleared easily. Only those with excellent control abilities could survive.
"Now this is fun," Alan smiled as he walked towards one of the pillar.
"But what are you?" he muttered as he examined it.
[Lightning Rods]
[Will be destroyed after one lightning strike.]
"I see… so I have to evade and use these when I can't dodge. Okay, I can use them," Alan mumbled.
He then stepped forward and looked at the timer.
"Now, let's see if I can reach the other end without using any lightning rods," Alan smiled as he got ready, taking a stance.
The timer slowly counted down.
10…
9…
8…
Alan lowered his stance, his eyes focused ahead.
3…
2…
1…
BOOOOM!
The sky exploded.
Lightning fell.
Hundreds.
Like rain.
Alan moved.
Step.
A bolt struck where he had just been standing.
Step.
Another one crashed down behind him.
His body moved smoothly, without wasting even a single motion.
"Haste" Midway Alan also used skills as the number of lighting strikes also increased the more he moved towards the target but still not even one struck him as he continued to move towards his goal.
BOOM!
A bolt struck right in front of him.
Alan twisted his body mid-step and slid past it.
"Got it."
His eyes sharpened.
The rhythm of the lightning began to reveal itself.
Left.
Right.
Front.
Back.
It wasn't completely random.
There were gaps and a certain pattern to it.
