[You have entered the 20th island.]
"Now that's creepy," Alan said, looking up at the sky.
The sun was covered by a black sheet-like mass, filled with countless red, hellish eyes staring down from above.
'This looks even creepier than it was described in the novel,' Alan thought as he looked at the hellish moon in the sky.
[A mission will be created.]
[20th Island]
Avoid the gaze of the Hell Moon!
First Clear Reward: 130 Challenger Points.
[The mission will start in 30 minutes.]
[A helper fairy has appeared.]
It was a system that hadn't appeared until after the 19th island.
"Hello, Challenger."
A small male fairy, about 50 cm tall, appeared in a burst of light and greeted him. His tone was polite, but his expression was full of mischief.
"Who are you?" Alan asked.
The fairy smiled and explained,
"I am Bini, a fairy of love and justice, who has been asked by Sage Sticks to help the challengers."
"Sticks asked you?"
"Yes. Sticks is anxiously waiting for a great challenger who can defeat the Behen Archipelago."
"Hoping for…?"
"Who is this guy, Sticks?" Alan asked.
"He is someone who wants to cleanse the Behen Archipelago and return it to its original state," Bini replied.
Alan nodded. "I see… Then how will you help me?"
"I will, of course, give you the proper information needed to clear all the islands," Bini said as he pointed at the Hell Moon.
Bini suddenly took out a pair of glasses and began explaining.
"In order to escape the 20th island, you have to avoid the Hell Moon's gaze. There is a theory that the Hell Moon has 66,666 eyes. There is no place on this island where its eyes can't reach."
"Then how do I escape it?" Alan asked.
"Pretend that you aren't a person."
"What?"
Pretend he wasn't a person?
'Wait…'
"You mean I have to change my species to something else?" Alan asked.
"No, I meant you have to pretend you are not a living being—that's what I meant," Bini clarified.
Alan understood.
"So, I have to play statue."
"Bingo!" Bini snapped his fingers as he pushed up his glasses, which he had seemingly pulled out of nowhere.
"The Hell Moon doesn't recognize anything that is completely still as a living creature. So you must stop whenever the Hell Moon's eyes are open. And exactly once every five seconds, when all of its eyes are closed, you can slowly move one step."
"Moving one step every five seconds... Where is my destination?"
Alan's voice trembled as he asked.
Bini replied with a large grin, "To the other end of the island. The gate to the next island is there."
"..."
"That sure is going to take a hell of a long time," Alan sighed as he looked ahead. Even from here, the destination seemed incredibly far.
"Yes, it would take exactly 12 hours. This island also tests one's patience," Bini said, nodding his tiny head.
"You said the Hell Moon doesn't recognize something as living as long as it doesn't move, right?" Alan asked.
Bini nodded.
"So it means it only relies on sight," Alan concluded, a smile forming on his face. "Okay then… see you on the next island."
Alan took out Kruger's Cloak and equipped it. The next moment—
He vanished.
"Huh? Where did you go?" Bini looked left and right in confusion.
"I'm here… just invisible," Alan's voice sounded from where he had been standing.
Bini's eyes widened.
"Woah! Is this the famous Kruger's Cloak?" he asked.
"Yes, I found it in the North Frontier," Alan replied.
Bini nodded in amazement.
After ten minutes—
[You have cleared the 20th Island.]
[100 Challenger Points Acquired.]
[You have entered the 21st island.]
"From now on… it's time attack," Alan said as he removed the cloak.
Bini appeared beside him and quickly explained,
[Mission Created]
[Clear all the monsters on the island.]
[Time Limit: 30 minutes]
The moment the mission started—
Alan moved.
Boom!
The ground cracked beneath his feet as he shot forward like a bullet.
Monsters appeared from all directions—beasts, armored creatures, flying types—
But none of them even had the chance to react.
"Summon."
Sapphire, Dainslief, Ash, and Drake appeared instantly.
"Clear everything," Alan ordered.
And the massacre began.
Sapphire vanished into a streak of flames, tearing through enemies at terrifying speed.
Dainslief roared, his holy aura crushing entire groups before they could even get close.
Ash stepped forward, his blade flashing—
Shing! Shing! Shing!
Every swing meant death.
Drake raised his staff—
Darkness swallowed dozens.
Light annihilated dozens more.
And the fallen—
Rose again.
An undead army that turned the battlefield into complete chaos.
Alan didn't stay back this time.
He joined in.
"Haste."
His body blurred.
Boom!
He punched through a monster's chest.
Crack!
Another one was kicked into the air and shattered mid-flight.
His movements were overwhelming and with just Frost King Aura he dominated all the monsters.
[You have cleared the 21st island.]
[You have entered the 22nd island.]
[Mission Created]
[Clear all monsters within 30 minutes.]
This time—
The number increased.
Stronger enemies.
Better coordination.
Even mini-boss level creatures appeared.
But—
It didn't matter.
"Split up."
The summons scattered.
Each one took a direction.
Alan took the center.
Explosions echoed across the island.
Firestorms.
Holy bursts.
Dark magic.
Sword flashes.
The entire island trembled under their assault.
10 minutes—
Cleared.
[You have cleared the 22nd island.]
[You have entered the 23rd island.]
Each Island continued to grow more difficult but it was all same for Alan.
[You have cleared the 23rd island.]
[You have entered the 24th island.]
The difficulty spiked again.
Now—
Boss-class monsters appeared continuously.
But Alan cracked his neck.
"Finally… something worth hitting."
BOOM!
He collided with a massive beast head-on.
The shockwave spread across the island.
Ash joined him.
Blade and fist moved together.
Perfect coordination.
Drake supported from the back.
Sapphire and Dainslief dominated the sides.
A complete formation.
An unstoppable force.
20 minutes—
Cleared.
[You have cleared the 24th island.]
[You have entered the 25th island.]
