"Is this really necessary?" Valerie asked with a helpless whine to her voice, as she hid behind the curtain of the changing room.
They had gone through four different shops at this point, and bought half a dozen bags worth of clothes and still they weren't done. Worst of all, this particular shop was incredibly fancy and seemed to only sell the expensive and the glamorous, as if one could only ever wear the outfits to a red carpet event.
Now, it wasn't that Valerie disliked clothes, as much as her in-game nudist proclivities might suggest. Far from it, clothes were nice. It was just that she was the type to dress entirely for comfort.
She had nice clothes, the type that she kept for occassions like dates. But every day wear? Nothing was better than comfy lounge pants and a T-shirt that was so old and worn that you couldn't even tell what used to be drawn on it.
None of which this store sold, and none of which Lucy ever allowed her to buy.
